Resistance 2 CE $55.00 Shipped

That seems like a good price for R2, but is the CE going to turn out like Saint's Row 2 CE again? I just don't want to find this game on Amazon a month from now for $30 like SR2 CE did.

dont bother. I bought the collector edition from R2. Its not that great of a box.the art book is worthless. the dvd is worthless too. The figure is weak and hardly detailed.

But how's the game though? If the game's worth $55 then I don't see why this deal sucks, since the regular edition costs more.

IMO the single player was just adequate. There were some things it did well, but overall I didn't think the campaign was very strong. The multiplayer was quite good though. I'd recommend it for that alone.

Still, if a PS3-owning FPS player is buying a brand new shooter today for full price, he should be buying Killzone 2.

No matter what version you buy, every FPS fan who owns a PS3 should get Resistance 2, simply because it's a great value, thanks to the highly addictive 8 player co-op. Holy shit. I couldn't stop playing that for a month straight.

As far as the CE goes, it was rather disappointing. I very, very much enjoyed the first game and loved the setting that they created for this game universe. The timeline on the official site was a fun read, which is why I was very disappointed in the "Shatter History" chronology. I was looking forward to a narrated version of the timeline, but it's basically just a few bits of it formed into a trailer. Boo...

The entire CE just feels like one, big example of cutting corners and cutting cuts. They couldn't even put the Blu-ray disc in a case. I mean, come on.

What Blu-ray disc are we talking about here? Is it the game disc or is it something else? That'd be totally lame if the game disc came without its own case.

Sorry, I should have clarified. The bonus Blu-ray disc comes in sleeve. The game disc comes in a case.

I must say, Steam is doing a good job of trying to get some PC to Console converters, back into playing on the PC again.
I haven't played games on the PC for years.
But in the past weeks, I just couldn't pass on Peggle and world of goo.
