*RESOLVED FOR NOW*I am having a problem trading with the user name James

Alright, a few days ago I made a trade with the user name "James". As per our deal, I would trade Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and a 1 year free XBOX Live card for True Crime and Shenmue 2. We processed the trade, and I shipped UPS with a tracking number. Up until this point, everything was going well. However, once I notified James about my shipment, he stopped replying to my messages for 2 days. Now just a few minutes ago, I received this PM from James:

Dude i don't know what your talking about. Someone stole my profile on this website and now is posting message with my name. This person is trying to be me. I don't know how but he found out my username and password and now is using to access this website. Because the last message i ever posted was about a Lunar game.

For the record, I never got a PM about a Lunar game. I chose to bring this out in the open immediately due to the nature of this. Is there a way for the mods to check the IP number of James over the last few days? I really do not know what to do. Luckily, I kept all his PM's, and I will post them in another reply.

yea , its in great condition, comes with green xbox dvd case, dvd game, and manual. as for the deal, what other game would you like, i can pay some cash with true crime but i really really wanna try to trade these games.

Swear to god dude. Your talking to the real james. I just change my password. You can even ask CheapyD. Don't you wonder why i so called didn't reply to your message its because i change my password and the person that is using my account can't read my private message or reply back to you. Sure do what every you want to do with the guy and his home address because that ain't my adress. post his private adress so every body can see what a dick this person is and how lame that he can't open his own account and have to steal other people.
 
I refuse to post a private address of someone as "James" suggested. I don't even care that this "James" has mine. I want compensation for the loss of my SC:pT and 1 year free XBOX Live from the user James. It is his account, and should be held responsible. I did nothing wrong, and don't deserve to be out of my merchandise because of a dishonest trader. Also, how would this "hacker" get his info from tradegamesnow.com? It doesn't add up.
 
Seeing as the real James is replying, get his info from him, see whats up..find out where or who your stuff went to
 
Well, I recommend contacting UPS right quick (call and talk to someone, if possible) to see if there's something they can do, such as stopping delivery and returning it to you.
 
The state the "James" is from is VA. Should I consider contacting the authorities? Also, I shipped UPS. Is there a way I can recoup my loss through them?
 
Thats a good suggestion. I remember the UPS Store told me delivery was scheduled for Tuesday. I think I still have the codes from the receipt. I'm going to try to get delivery reversed.
 
Someone did hack the account of "James", and I have proof. The address I received was for Virginia. The real James is from Denver.

I still have the address of the person in Virginia, I think I should contact the authorities whether I get back my stuff or not.
 
The thing that still strikes me is the timing. Why not alert me sooner then late Saturday night? Once I find that damn tracking code I can figure out where the hell my stuff is.
 
I tried to do a deal with him for NFL 2K2 and 2K3 but he was trying to make me pay like $20 for them so I decided not to do that because that was total bs. Luckily I didn't because I knew something was wrong about him because the way he wrote in his messages. But goodluck w/ getting your stuff back.

I contacted UPS through e-mail requesting them to cancel the shipment. I have a friend close to the family that works at the store I shipped the package, and I will speak more in depth with her about it in the morning. I have no idea if I will get back my stuff, but I will find out tomorrow morning.
 
I tried to buy those demos from him. He PMed me on May 2. I guess it's a good thing I backed out. :)

yea it went fine...he seems hard to reach though through im cuz on time supposedly his sister was iming me from his name asking if i had sent it out. now thats weird now that i think about it. but yea i did receive it. and i sent a check to his virginia address.
 
Well, sounds like I am being lied to. I don't get how my stuff is all fucked up and yours got through. Now I really don't know what to think.

Can a mod here find the IP number of James over the last few days?
 
woot? The first thing that should happen is that they guy who said he did a legit trade should compare addresses. If it's the same addy, then things might get interesting.

Sorry wanted to post my message first why don't we confrim that it's the same address with manofpeace. Even it is what's your point this guy stole my account and is doing business with on my account . He won't be doing anymore business on the name james beacause i just change my password.
 
wait, what? So you don't live in Virginia? You should PM someone your phone number so they can call and verify it is you. If that number isn't in Virginia, then someone should post the address so I can get to work.

Because it ain't me dude that was someone else do you want me to tell you the local news of denver or the time it is right now or anything to prove that i live in colorado and the person that you deal was some one else and did you ever get a feed back? No wanna know why beacuase that dick no longer can go login with my username because i changed it and when did you trade with him?
 
No, you should just let me call you because that's the easiest way to verify you are telling the truth. There's already 3 things I've noticed that don't add up right off the top. I'd figure if it was me and someone hacked my name I'd do everything I could to help out. That's the simplest way to do things. Or PM me your mailing address in Denver. That wouldn't be as good, but it's something to check out.

The ending of this story is that there is a litlle 19 year old bastard in Fredricksburg that's about to get seriously OWNED. The only question is whether it's you or not. If it isn't, I'd appreciate your help because it cuts down on my work.

I hope you get this straightened out, but what an awful trade. Pandora Tomorrow+1 year Xbox Live card, for True Crime and Shenmue 2? Had the trade been legit it still would have been a ripoff. Wow. Had you simply walked into EB or Funcoland they would have given you more for their ripoff trade-in deals.

I am starting to wonder how Guyver2007 made the same transaction to "James" in Virginia, while claiming he lives in Denver. I am getting annoyed at this whole situation. All I want is my stuff back. James, if you really live at the Virginia address, please make things right with me like you did with Guyver2007.

No. I don't want to give any more of my personal information to anybody. I know that i'm telling the truth. No bullshit. I can even tell you that it snow on thrusday in colorado you wanna know why because i lived there strange time to snow but that's colorado weather for you.

What personal information? I want to know how you conducted a trade with Guyver2007 out of the Virginia address if you live in Denver.

BTW, anyone can look up Denver weather. I believed you at first, but you have not proven anything with what you said.

I would have said "Should have told the truth", but we both knew you were lying to begin with. It took me a whole 5 minutes to figure that one out. So what happened? Did you not have the games, or were they damaged, or did you just change your mind? Why make a big mess about it?

What so i have to give out my personal info to someone i don't even know or call someone and get charged? Why don't you just post that address from that so call james from VA. What's wrong? If that was my personal information wouldn't i don't want a wholebunch of stranger to know about?
