I purchased a used game from EBgames.com and it wouldn't work. So I went to exchange it at my local EB and was told the game wasn't in stock. The manager offered me a refund (Originally without tax included). So after all the paper work was completed, I asked for a receipt to show that I've returned it.
He told me there was absolutely no way for me to get a return receipt. When I pointed out the obivous that since I had to give them my shipping order and game, if there was a problem with me getting my credit that I have no proof that the transaction ever took place.
He argued with me for 5 minutes (I asked him if there was no receipt, could he atleast take a sheet of paper, explain that I had returned the game, sign and date it so I would atleast have something to show the credit card company if there's a problem), and one of the new trainees came over and hit a button on the register and it printed out a copy of the reciept.
Is not giving a return receipt standard EB procedure?
