Returning games with bonuses to GameStop?

I preordered Final Fantasy Dissidia a few days ago, and after thinking about it a while I decided to cancel my preorder the next day as there's other stuff I'd rather get. However the website wouldn't let me cancel and when I emailed them I was told I couldn't cancel because it was already packaged for shipping. So now when I get it I'll have to return it to the store, but just wondering if I get the preorder bonus cases should I bring them with me? It'd be nice to keep them, but I don't want to give them the impression I'm just trying to get the cases for free or something. Anyone have any experience with this? And I'm returning the game in store this time because I've returned damaged items to them by mail before, and the sending it out and waiting for them to accept it and then mail me a gift card would take too long. Is returning online purchased items in store usually easy?

Should be a piece of cake if you have your receipt/invoice. Keep the pre-order bonus, but bring it with you and leave it in the car just in case.

Also: check your receipt/invoice to see if it mentions anything about the bonus at all. If it doesn't, then the paper-trail is clean and they won't even know you received it.

Bonus covers are going to be inserted into the case itself so the only way you'll get to keep them is if you open it. And if you open it, you can't return it.

But but it's still new for Gamestop if it's open, it's just gutted. Would the PSP bundle also come with the covers? Since that is also just exclusive to gamestop?

You know that's not how it works. Your just trying to stir up controversy.

If it is separate and not on the invoice, don't bring it in. The employees typically don't care.

That's actually part of why I preordered (and decided to cancel), the GameStop website makes it sound like the game has a special cover or something, but then I read posts by people that have gotten the bonus and it's a couple of cardboard slipcases, and it's separate from the game.

Well, thread was pointless I guess. GameStop couldn't cancel my game but they had no problem cancelling my bonus cases. So whatever, returning now.

I was wrong. I received mine today and they are actually separate from the case. They're just slipcovers which go over the case.
