Just watched the noon news and the breaking news was that rick james has just died. I know how things like this break on the net, but unless kcal 9 is wrong it seems he has past away. No details were given as to what caused his death.

Maybe snorting some drano?
Maybe one of the women that he beat up got the better of him?

..Or, maybe he just curled into a fetal position & died of natural causes.

We shall see.

Well, if he is dead, I hope people will lay off of the Rick James quips. Maybe he got sick and tired of people claiming to be him.

I generally believe Drudge, in that what I see there is usually echoed by the other news media pretty quickly. And 'official' websites aren't updated all that quickly either, probably have to figure out how to say it, what to say, etc. I'm not finding any confirmation yet.

Most people that utter that inane statement don't even know who Rick James is/was. His death is just going to bring it back up and we'll be hearing it even more.

ah cmon he was a 1 hit wonder and hardly anyone here would even know who he was if not for Chappelle's Show. I don't think he was really as important as u all make him sound. But thats just IMO.
