So... if someone (say, for example, a fellow CAG) sold you a PS3 Hard Drive Back up Cable (to your pc), what would you expect to receive in the mail?

The reason I ask is because I purchased this item from a fellow CAG for approximately $4.00. Now I anticipated receiving an SATA to USB cable for backing up 2.5" SATA HDDs.

But apparently this CAG uses this alternate description to describe something that I thought everyone knew the correct name for.

Any guesses as to what I was sold? Well... let me share.

A USB cable!

The dude paid like a buck-and-a-half for shipping, so technically I only paid $3.50 for this fly 3-foot USB CABLE.

Totally lame. This guy is a fucking idiot.

Care to divulge the sellers name, in case someone else is thinking of buying one of these so-called "transfer" cables from him.

Well... the guy never refunded the purchase price as he promised.

The penalty? Here's his CAG username... might want to avoid this guy.

It was only a few bucks... but it still blows to have someone roll you.

I actually had a trade with him recently where I traded in his favor. Although I got my items he offered to send me two hdmi cables and a ps3 charge cable and I said that would be cool only though I only needed one hdmi but he offered two and then he only sent one and the charge cable. Also I provided delivery confirmation and he said he forgot. Then I had to send a pm just to check if he received (though I know the P.O. delivered) because he couldn't take time to send me a pm or leave feedback for the trade until I contacted him to check if everything was ok. Overall I left him positive as I did receive something and didn't want to deal with the hassle of leaving neutral although I felt it would have been ok.

Could be this.
He wanted to set up a trade with me not too long ago, so he PM'd me with his email addy :whistle2:s and asked for me to mail him for the list of what he had available. :whistle2:k

Anyway, I went ahead and did it, but recieved an email back from him with some weird file extension that my email program didn't recognize and flagged. I ended up forwarding it to Shrike just in case, but he said the file was fine. #-o

Guess I was just a bit paranoid, but just seemed like a strange thing to do. I never did open the file myself :nottalking:- just ended up deleting it.

Well I said it because I made a trade with him and got the two items I wanted but half-ass. Part of it was my laziness to not check, the other was a mistake made on his end. Fortunately it was all very cheap and he even gave me a small refund (shipping ended up being mostly what I paid for). So it ended up settled. He got feedback from me.

well, number one thing you messed up on OP was "assuming" what you were getting. should have made it completely explicit. Also, sata cables are so ridiculously cheap that I'm not sure why you didnt just get one locally

The cable that he probably thought he was getting costs ~ $12 - $20 from a place like deal extreme. The OP should have verified what he was getting, but the item was flagrantly described poorly. Given the other shaky interactions that other CAGs have had with that user, I think that everyone should be careful.

I wish I wouldn't have deleted my correspondence with him... I'm sure anyone would have been convinced based on our conversations that what I was to receive was a SATA to USB transfer/HDD backup cable. Oh well... he seems to have dropped off the map all of a sudden.
