I did pick this up. Enjoyed the movie very much, they had a screening of it two weeks ago at celebration cinema in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

^ Seems to be 77 minutes.

Any idea on a B&M price? $13 still seems like too much for this, sorry to say. I've been looking forward to this for a few years now, expecting it to get a theatrical release. Then I come across the DVD and decide from the cover art alone that this is not going to be what I was expecting. I feel it will turn up elsewhere for cheaper not too far off.

i seen a theatrical poster for this movie when halloween 2 came out. obviously that wasn't going to happen. i'm sure since this movie was 3 years in the making i'm not surprised they went straight to dvd.

didn't see the second post about the screening. that's interesting.

I had been looking forward to this animated feature since it was first announced several years ago; I admit, I was a little leery when I heard it was going to be a direct to DVD release, but I must say that I loved it! This was probably the funniest and most well written comedies that I have seen in quite sometime. From start to finish, it seems like it's one pop culture reference after the next; a good number of the references are naturally horror related, but certainly not all of them. There are also cameos by some of the characters from Zombie's other films; I won't mention any of them as not to spoil any of the fun. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the outstanding original songs by Hard n' Phirm (Chris Hardwick & Mike Phirman); my personal favorites are Zombie Nazis & Catfight.

I will say, this isn't for everyone; first, it's animated, so if that's not your thing, avoid El Superbeasto. Also, if you're easily offended by foul language, animated violence or animated nudity, again, avoid this. However, if you're a fan of Rob Zombie or if you'd like to check out an animated feature that's a little bit out there, then by all means, do yourself a favor and pick it up.

One last thing, the voice cast is outstanding:
-Sheri Moon Zombie
-Rosario Dawson
-Danny Trejo
-Paul Giamatti
-Bill Moseley
-Sid Haig
-Clint Howard
-Tom "Sponge Bob" Kenny
-Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson
-Brian Posehn
-Laraine Newman
-Tom Papa
-Tura Satana
-and more!

Wow, this is a great price. I was going to get this anyway, but was remiss at the lack of sales/deals on it. I'll definitely go to BB today or tomorrow to pick this up at this price.

I have a $5 gift cert and that would make it a better buy. If anyone is interested amazon has it also for that price.

Thanks, I'll add that to the title.

Thanks guys for the deal. Glad I got in on it yesterday. I was planning on picking up the movie anyway, but the deal helped out. My store had a ton of them (DVD and BR). I just picked up the DVD as I prefer it over BR any day. At my store, the dvd had a sticker for $20 on it, but rang up at $14.99 to which I PMed down to $12.99. The nice thing was the cashier didn't even flinch or call a supervisor/manager/etc. and just did an insta-PM for me. Saved me time and was out on my way :D

Thanks for the notice everyone....picked it up Saturday Night on Amazon and it along with a Blu Ray of the New World shipped last night...!

The DVD is still $13 at BB and Amazon. THe blu-ray went up in price at Amazon, but I don't know about BB. YOu guys should definitely get this to support Rob Zombie, and so that we can get another.

My local Best Buy sold all their Blu-Ray copies, my buddy actually snagged the last copy. I'm trying to rent it from Netflix but it says long wait maybe I should try and borrow it from my friend.

Got my copy from Amazon a few days ago. The movie is awesome - it's what Cool World should have been. It has that bouncy, wild, musical feel, but it actually takes the risks that Cool World wouldn't. The art style is generally more appealing too.

The only things I didn't like were Dr. Satan's rampage (a tad too offensive for me) and the hillybilly characters from Rob Zombie's other movies, but none of that detracted much.
