Robotech Remastered 6: New Generation Collection 1 for $9.99 at BB

that is a good deal considering its $25-$30 elsewhere. if i gave a shit about robotech i'd probably pick this up. thanks, OP.
 
The New Generation... mehh... it's not very good.

The first two series' were pretty good, Macross and Masters. Of course I'm biased for liking Masters because it was one of the first animes I watched.

I can't believe the nerve of them, though. I eagerly bought all three original Robotech Legacy sets for the Macross saga... then they released the complete series in a haggard set with no features, then they release this "special edition"...

I will pick up the crappy little, no features set for Masters because it's the cheapest alternative, and the features can't be great enough to warrant a purchase of higher value. Although the last box of the Macross Legacy set did come with the movie, which was... really bad, but I have memories renting it from Blockbuster, and memories are priceless.

All and all, only if you LOVE the New Generation should you buy this, because the characters are flat and non-interesting. Masters had Dana, which was a good character, and Macross, of course, had Rick and Lisa, but, New Generation has...

Most people consider the Macross saga the best followed by Mospeada/New Generations. Tons of people seem to not enjoy Southern Cross/Masters for some reason.
 
I don't see why people really liked The Masters. Every episode was "Blahhhh, throw everything we have at them!!! Damn, we're getting rocked, RUN AWAY!!!! Blagha, throw everything we have at them!!! AH RUN AWAY!@!!!"

I mean, there were some nice episodes that included Zor's development, but for the most part it was pretty weak.

Macross Saga was great because everything flowed forward while the Masters stagniated with endless fighitng and nothing else.
 
I felt that Masters was the worst of the three. I prefer the New Generation over it by a long shot. To each their own.
 
I recently got my set and the action figure doesn't feel as cheap as I thought it would be. It transforms into one of the Robotech airplanes.
