They had bulk stacks of it at the register at my Best Buy in Lexington, KY. It was just a sticker with ".99" written on it so Im sure this is pretty YMMV. Btw, TIV at GS is .25, so no flips here.
lol, I'd buy that for a dollar!

Now I feel ripped off for buying a copy for the PS3 for $2.50 last week
You, sir, needs to take that game and receipt back to the store and ask for your 60% less price difference!

I would almost be tempted to pick this up, if only so that I can say I got an Xbox 360 game for a dollar, but man, that's a tough sell. If only it was worth $1 trade in at Gamestop, would make nice fodder for the $20-extra-for-4 deal going on :D
There has to be at least one song on that game that is worth the 1.00 price?
They aren't even songs in the game. They are all covers of songs.

All the hate from a lot of people who have never played it. I got it around Xmas time for $20 and while it is nowhere near as good as Rock Band or Guitar Hero, I definitely have had some fun with it. While a lot of the covers are really bad, some are halfway decent. It's something different to play (I like the challenges like having to memorize portions of a song and play without any notation, or avoiding fake notes). For this price I say you really can't go wrong. It's compatible with the Rock Band drum set too, so you don't have to use their weird setup. My only complaint (I mean, GH at one point was all covers) is that it's vertical scrolling like DDR instead of "into the background" like GH and Rock Band, which isn't as easy to play IMO. Ok, another complaint.... kick drum is just displayed as another note instead of a solid bar, so that takes some getting used to.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: this game isn't worth any of your money. The drum set is awful (especially if you try to play it with the World Tour or Rock Band drums - good luck trying to figure out how those map to the game's seven symbols), the guitar and bass really aren't all that interesting, and the game is home to some truly atrocious covers.

I say this with all seriousness: if you've got Rock Band, spend the dollar on one of the cheap songs instead. Get one of the Spongebob songs, or maybe "Re: Your Brains." You'll get more enjoyment out of that one song than all of Rock Revolution.

The cover of Paralyzer is sort of okay, I guess.

I've played it. I fully regret it, and want that time back.

I found the PS3 version on clearance at Target, and gave it to my friend for his extra copy of Bioshock from Black Friday. Even though he'd already finished Bioshock and still had his own copy if he wanted to play it again, I still felt like I'd ripped him off after we played Rock Revolution.

Wait............he played Rock Revolution with you before wanting to trade for it? lmao.

That sentence structure was off. We traded, we played for the first time, and then the regret set in. It's late, and I can't sleep.

For what it's worth, the guy is a music game junkie - I think he's preordered every music game that's been released since he bought the World Tour bundle last winter. Rock Revolution is the only one he's traded back in. If a huge fan of the genre can't stomach it, I think that says something about the game's quality.

I got the 360 bundle (with the RR drum set) from Kmart for $7 and I'm seriously considering returning it ;).

Either that or I might open it and just let me 2 year-old bang away on the drums since he always wants to go after the RB2 and GHWT drums hidden in my office.

Still, I'd buy the game for 99 cents. I buy any games under $2 pretty much. If nothing else they are fodder for the tiered trade-in promos GS sometimes runs (though as someone noted it is useless for the current promo which requires game to get over $2 in trade-in value to get the $5 bonus). Or they can just be nice new cases to swap out on a used game ;). For 99 cents, I'd buy it for sure.

Right now it is $5 at my two closest Best Buy's but in the special 50% off rack. I did actually buy the DS version for that price ($2.50) and they are out of that one now but still have plenty of PS3/360 copies.

I'm kinda the same way. I love music games. Though Ive traded in Rock Revolution, Guitar Hero Smash Hits, and Rock Band 1. Rock Band 1 is pretty much useless after transferring the songs to Rock Band 2, Smash Hits got kind of sickening since Ive already played the majority of the songs on GH2 and 3, and Rock Revolution........well yah that game is garbage. I've also traded in LIPS if that counts. Kinda wish I didnt now. Those mics are cool. I'll be getting LIPS 2 when it comes out though.

ROFL... so next week they will have copies at the register with 5 dollar gift cards attached and charge 99 cents... Buy this game for .99 cents and get a 5 dollar gift card

I've composed an original song in the studio portion of the game. That alone made it worth the five bucks I spent on it.

It's also a good game for achievement whores. 10g for playing the short tutorial, 30 for trying out all the instrument sounds, 20 for making a song, 20 for using all the tracks. It seems like they were trying to make up for bad gameplay by throwing achievements at you.

You have to go to the options menu and set it to the Rock Band drum set and it doesn't do all 7 symbols. Makes it much more playable.

I personally enjoyed the game. A lot of people are bashing it without ever trying. To me the covers were OK - some better, some worse but not distracting from the game. The vertical note scrolling took a bit of time to adjust to but with some timing tuning I was playing just as normal. Finally, the challenges are much better then the crap we have in GH5. They are actually original and do require you to pay attention. I used GH guitar and RB drums on it without any issues. For $10 shipped it was a solid pick up for me and for $1 it should be no brainer.
For someone to recommend to spend that dollar on a crappy cheap RB song - you are nuts.

The shiny new game case is worth a buck, alone. And it's true that none of the major chains will give you any decent TIV but there are mom and pops and plenty of suckers (read clueless moms and dads) out there waiting to find some last minute cheap Christmas (ya rly) gifts for their kid/cousin/nephew whatever. This is probably the best deal ever IMHO (but my local used store gives over ten dollars CASH TIV for this game lolz).

I'd buy at that price for Achievements and a new game case.

My BB had it for $5 last time I was there. Gonna have to check in on it.

Well, I would say it is at least the second best BB deal ever (free X-Blades). Anyway, has anyone outside of Lexington, KY seen this deal at one of their local BB's?

Clearly you forgot free You're in the Movies.

I wasn't able to get in on that one so I chose to forget it. I wonder what the over/under is on how long until the next BB video game offer screwup.

Well, most stores sell Secret Agent Clank for $20 and the same coupon that worked for Xblades takes $20 off secret agent clank. So if best buy decides to drop clank to the same price as the other stores while the coupon is still good, we may see our next bb screwup sooner than we think.

Play it for the achievements, then donate it to the Salvation Army and get a tax write off. It's $0.99....c'mon. Add some girth to your collection for the price of a crispy chicken sammich.

I played it at GS it was atrocious they should pay me for this game. The drums were the most god awful things I've ever seen looked like a mid 80's drum machine. Any game that has "Skater Boy" is automatic FAIL! The crispy chicken sandwich is more satisfying as well.

Woah! I would love to pickup Secret Agent Clank if it drops, where can I find this coupon?

The game is an interesting play. I picked it up for $4.98 at Target. I played it for a couple of days with my wife, got a couple of achievements, and then traded it into Block Buster for $19 in credit. I would have kept the game if the TIV wasn't so high at the time. I own Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and Guitar Hero III. Is it better than those games? No way. Is it a bit different from those games? Yes.

For .99 cents it's worth it.

That's just some advice from a person who actually plays several real instruments and sings.

I just came back from my local BB. Rock Revolution there was still $4.99. Secret Agent Clank was still at $39.99. And, NFL Tour, one of the other BB Rewards Zone coupon games was at $29.99. I found nothing free or at $0.99.

The only official songs (Non cover) on the game are Finger Eleven - Paralyzer and Linkin Park - Given Up...So i suppose it depends on the person spending the .99 on buyin it

I purchased the game for $1.25 and then downloaded the Pantera track pack was the best $5.00 I have spent. If you are a huge Pantera fan like I am then it is definately worth it.

Are the Pantera songs covers also?

Pretty sure the song by Linkin Park is "One Step Closer"... which makes the $1 game awesome except that the whole guitar / drum interface is OUTTA WACK.

I think I'll purchase GH5 by the end of the month and still get Van Halen for free...
