Router Help

Alright I need help setting up my linksys router. First step is disconnect the cable that connects your modem to the computer. The problem is, that my ethernet port on my computer got scorched in a lightening storm. So I use usb cable. Their is no usb cable on router. Question is how do I fix it. Also can I use the xbox 360 for the first step....I hope im clear.

You can buy a PCI ethernet adapter

The 360 will work directly connected to the modem, or you can just grab a $10 PCI Ethernet NIC from any electronics store and connect both to your router.
