While visiting my mall yesterday I stopped by my local Sam Goody store now of course FYE. I have a friend that works there and I used to work at EBGames in the same mall. Sorry about the back story but may help some doubters. But he informed me that two stores in his district his and another of course I don't recall it's location, but I may be able to find out if anyone else is close to St. Clairsville Ohio, are going to be clearing out all of there game merchandise.
Starting August 24th I believe all the games and accessories will be on sale for 30% off. It doesn't include systems and anything Wii for some reason but still it's a deal. But the real kicker is September 13th the games and accessories will be 50% off. And like any good person I gave him a good ol stack to keep hidden in the back for me. I just thought it would be good to let everyone know in case there are other stores having this sale. Certainly never hurts to ask and hopefully you've grown some relationships so that you can get some good stuff put back for you.

this might be localize. those particular store might be clearing out their game inventory and only carrying a handful of new releases.

One of the Fye's near me did the same thing, 30% off ALL games (not counting Wii) and 10% off systems. Seems to be standard for stores that aren't going to be carrying games anymore.

New only last time I checked at my local FYE that has been doing this.

It's come up several times in this forum, they've been 30% off for well over a month already.

I was at the FYE here in Richmond a week ago, didnt see any signage. I'll scan something and see what happens. Those jerks have like ten copies of Odama with the mic that were $10 new, and they repriced them used at $37.99. Genius.

Thanks for the heads up. I know of a store in Maine that's basically half video games, so hopefully they're doing it as well.
