Stopped by the Aero Drive Hollywood Video/GameCrazy this afternoon after work, they seem to have doubled their used GC game inventory over the last week. Lots of good games for less than $10, though I can't remember any specifics... I did snag Ikaruga (with manual) for $15. They were even nice and buffed it for me on their machine. ;)

They also had a whole rack of sealed/"new and opened" games for $15, mostly XBox and PS2.


YMMV of course, but I am curious if any other area stores have got similar deals.

i've worked there for about a year now. but i'll be working at the e. h st chula vista store starting sunday. last i checked we had a zelda collectors edition (the one that came with the gamecube at one point) and metal gear solid twin snakes.
 
I did remember seeing that about 20 seconds before reading your post. Yeah, they had that Zelda for $27. A good deal for someone to play, though not enough to flip on eBay... and I already have one. :)

Any other copies of Ikaruga? I sold mine years ago, like an idiot, shortly after beating it. I wanted to play it again recently, but I'm not willing to spend $60 on the experience...

That was the only one at that particular store... that's why I was curious if other stores had a marked increased in their used GC inventory.

I'm not planning on eBaying this one... I've heard great things about this game, and am going to play it first.

$60's on the way high side, from what I see on eBay it's around $30-40. Still higher than I wanted to pay, but I might have ended up doing that if I had gone a few more months without seeing it anywhere.
 
Enjoy it. I got really good at the first two levels, but could only beat the game after bitch-mode opened up after several hours of play.

we get them in from time to time. mostly just brand new.
