I just got a blackberry pearl, taking it back to upgrade to the curve though. Not too big a fan of the pearl's keys

Are there any deals on a good SD micro card? I don't know where to look, I'm told the brand does not matter?

The cheapest I've found is an Sandisk 8 GB SDHC Micro at Radioshack for 20 bucks, is that the best deal that I'll probably find?

All with free shipping and had high rated reviews.[/quote]

Is it true about the brand not mattering then? I've never heard of A-Data, and I'm a bit skeptical on reviews now (who knows if they're real, after Belkin was paying people to right reviews for them). Does anyone have any personal experience with an A-Data? I want something that will hold up over time.

I've used an A-data SD card before. They work just fine. I have had mine for at least 2 years now without a hitch.

As far as branding goes, I don't think it matters that much. It might be the case where the A-data brand will have a higher failure rate than some of the more well-known brands like kingston or sandisk. But like I said, I haven't had a problem with them yet.

I think the only thing you might want to pay attention to is the read/write speeds. Cheaper cards tend to have a slower read/write speeds. For most applications I don't think it matters and for your phone it shouldn't matter. But if you plan on using an SD card for a digital camera you might notice some improvements if you use a faster read/write speed. Or if you are moving large files, you might otice faster speeds if you use a card with faster read/write speed.
