I checked it out the last time they did this and I wasn't impressed with their prices. Even with a 20% discount there weren't many (any?) good deals to be found, especially considering that, unlike visiting a local Gamestop, for example, you have no idea what you are getting. Both content and condition. Sure, they may usually be in good shape and complete (yes? no?), but when it isn't it isn't and you have no way to tell ahead of time. So... they need to have some pretty good prices, and they don't.

I guess they were losing to much money.. Or maybe its due to the rescission..
 
Their prices for games haven't been too hot for awhile, and sadly, the movie prices are getting to that point too:( It's still a good sale for cheap DVD's/CD's though.
 
Agreed. I use it almost exclusively for DVD's or CD's. Although about a year ago I picked up Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed for about 20 each well before they dropped to those prices...
 
I've never BOUGHT anything from SecondSpin before (just sold to them). In general, how is the condition of the items they sell, at least in the case of DVDs and DVD box sets? I found something I'd really like, but if it comes scratched up or the box messed up, I don't know if I'd want to deal with that. It'd probably be a pain to get changed out right?

I've never bought DVDs from them, but I can vouch that my CD and Game purchases were shipped in Good to Great Used condition. It seems like the discs were given a quick clean before they were shipped. Shipping takes a little longer than other sites, but check Ebay/Half/Amazon first and see if the 20% OFF and FS is worth it.
 
I got Mario Kart Wii w/Wheel for $33 using this coupon. Not bad considering people are selling just the game itself (no Wii Wheel) for higher than that.

Okay, cool. Maybe I'll take a chance.

The set I'm looking for goes for at least $80 or so on Ebay and that's the cheapest I've seen it until now. I can get it for around $50 with free shipping on Second Spin. I just wanted to make sure they only sold good quality used products. :D
 
Picked up the Halo 3 LE from them awhile back with this coupon. Came in very good condition. The tin had a few dents, and the slipcover wasn't perfect, but the discs were great. For the price, it was an awesome deal. At the time, it was like half the price of buying just the regular addition in a store.

I see they still have copies for Madden 06 on the 360 for $2. Not bad if you were looking for a spare case or two. I know a few people who picked up a copy just for the case, but also got the easy achievements from playing the game. Not a bad deal for a buck and change.
