This is right up there with Bush being the mastermind behind 9/11, with secret duplicate planes and everything.

I'm curious what the end game of such a plan is... doesn't virtually every major poll have Obama ahead of Romney? Is there any chance in heck Romney will actually beat Obama?

Now, if you wanted to say these plans were for 2016, then, perhaps (lol not really).

There's always a chance. It really depends on how shitty the economy worldwide gets, in addition to how the market reacts to Congress dealing with the upcoming Bush tax cuts expiring (which will increase the capital gains tax, hurting market investments). If they don't react, or the market gets the impression that Congress won't extend them, you'll probably see sell-offs happening in October, tanking the market somewhat. That would hurt Obama's re-election campaign, assuming Romney is playing to win at that point.

I don't believe in this but I have believed something is coming down the road as an excuse to declare Martial Law.
Thing is, I wouldn't trust most, if any, events as being legitimate for Martial Law so I wouldn't follow it.

At the same thing, I almost think it would be impossible to generate such an action given how many businesses would just plain bitch about all the money they were losing.
 
I think when you consider just the massive scale that would be needed to affect enough of the country to create riots large enough to delay the elections, you can see just how ludicrous this is, especially when a much easier go-to boogeyman would be some sort of terrorist activity. But then, when Obama has been accused so often by a certain group of hating white people, I suppose this is a much easier buy for them.
 
Isn't it already easy enough to NOT have people vote? The Republicans think they can do that by "strengthening" voter laws. I thought it was easy enough because of our complacency. Delay an election, that's so John Q. Public.
 
No matter who wins we lose, but Obama is going to win in November. He killed Osama and gives us warm fuzzy feelings inside, after all.
