I have a sealed 16gb iPod Touch that I am trying to unload. I got it as a gift, but I have a an iPhone and wouldn't get much use out of it. Stupid Apple Store won't take it back without a receipt, so i'm stuck. Taking offers on buying it. I will trade it for a PS3 only. Thanks.

Pic below, has my eBay username on it. Haven't listed it yet, wanted to test the waters here.
I don't think thats worth a PS3 unless the PS3 comes with a HDD lol, so would you sell it?
Actually it's worth a 20 or 40 gb PS3 since it's $400 new. It's not exactly cheap

Well if your smart you won't buy it for that price new, you'll look around and get the 1's that cost $275(cheapest I've seen it)-$350

Yeah but remember you can't use Ebay prices when comparing an item on CAG. It's always MSRP, doesn't matter if you can find it cheaper on Ebay or Craigslist

Actually I didn't use either of those, lol

A lot of CAGs I know use eBay's completed listings as a reference, as do I. I've never heard of anyone using MSRP when making a trade on CAG.

Yeah, usually people offer stuff cheaper from retail price, considering the name of the website :)

Point of CAG is to look at competitor prices and sell it lower than those. Doesn't matter if craigslist, ebay, amazon, etc. If you want money, and the item to be gone, then best offer gets it.

No offense OP, I can't see anyone trading their PS3 for an ipod, but doesn't mean it can't happen, good luck and free bump! =)

Also, take it back to Best Buy, get a gift card, and buy a PS3 with it. That's going to be your best bet. Best Buy takes back items without receipts but will give you a gift card in return. You can only do this 3 times every 6 months.

That's a little dishonest buddy. Not going to jail for fraud.

And for those sticking up for me, I appreciate it. Device is $399 new in stores, just like a PS3. I can get a PS3 cheaper than retail too, thats not the point of this post. Thanks.

Good for them, if you want Ebay prices then go to Ebay. The whole compaing to Ebay thing is pretty stupid since some stuff sell the same in stores but less on Ebay because of demand

haha, the whole point of CAG is to beat retail and ebay prices >_<

however, ebay prices are always better to compare since they are usually the REAL value of it. Cause im sure people are going to buy $50 for a used Halo 3 when its on ebay for $25

this is trading not buying. So you're saying Halo 3 for No more heroes is a fair trade just because you find them at similar prices on ebay. That's pretty stupid

Guys, I'd suggest we stop spamming his thread, granted he IS getting free bumps, rofl.

There isn't a rule for CAG, in terms of selling/trading for things worth and competitor prices. However, it is smart to sell cheap and trade reasonable regardless where it's at. That's obvious.

same value though dumbass. IT IS A FAIR TRADE!! no ones is dumb enough to pay retail for Halo 3 now....you have ALOT to learn about being a CAG.

damn, hope i don't deal with people you deal with. Also your little flaming trip isn't helping. if being a cag means getting jipped then I hope i'm never one

It went from this >>> :argue: to this >>> :boxing:

*Seller7492 runs quickly and grabs some pop corn and press play on the remote*

lmfao^^^

im not flaming you, im just setting you straight. Its not "jipping" someone, its being fair. Your logic is basically saying that Halo 3 would be a fair trade for Madden 09.

I think a fair trade depends on the people trading.
Someone may of got madden 09 and hated it, but have been wanting Halo 3 for awhile, so he feels it's a fair trade and, well yeah. Everyone's happy!

I don't think there is any specific logic to trading, other than making each other happy.
It makes sense to trade games or anything to equal similar value, but it's not always the case, it just depends. Arguing over that is dumb.

I guess bottom line is,

Fair trade = Both people happy, no matter what the item/s are!

No it wouldn't because Halo is $50 and Madden is $60. :)
I haven't dealt with people with your reason and i hope i never have to. you want ebay prices? go to ebay then. Simple as that. that logic is crap. " hey dude, I'll trade you my Medal of honor heroes psp for your Burnout paradise because I saw them go for the same price in an auction, it's all fair"

I also agree with requiem's post, also I'm not posting anymore since I don't want to fill up his thread

Ok, first of all, you could of left it at requiem's post but no, you had to get in the last shot. Second, if the games go for the same prices on ebay, then yes they are worth the same and it's a fair trade. I have yet to met a CAG who actually goes by retail prices for a game's worth. The idea of CAG is to not get games for their retail prices but get a good deal. Whether that means buying Halo 3 for $25 or getting two games that are worth less for one. I was trying to hold back, but seriously, if you don't want to deal with CAGs who think like that then you're not going to be able to deal with most CAGs out there because not many people think using your logic here. I have yet to meet someone who uses your logic.

Oh, do me a favor, if you don't want to deal with anyone refusedchaos has dealt with, you better put me on there. I think exactly like him, hopefully this will keep thinking like this away from me. No one will ever trade for a game that's worth less. Even if it were Madden '09 for Halo 3, no matter how much the person hates it, I doubt they'd trade it straight across for Halo 3. While I agree with requiem's post, I don't agree with people who have to get the last word in. Your points are frivilous and don't follow the way most CAGs think. Your comment was not needed in this thread. Try to fire that bullet back at me and I can easily say "I was just giving advice." Just like you can, give up and have a nice day.

well what do you expect a guy who really doesnt belong/fit in on CAG tries to make a wrong point of view right

oh and gl trying to get a ps3 for an ipod, especially with no trade history here (just meanin people would be cautious on top of the fact everyone has some form of an ipod right now)
