Sending funds for my bro in JP

OK, my youngest bro is now study abroad in Japan for about a year; so far so good.

But my mom keeps wondering if he needs any additional money, she was thinking about money order, and asked me about Paypal. I am aware that we have members here that have lived in Japan. Any tips about sending money to Japan?

Paypal should be fine. It automatically converts dollars to whatever currency it is received in.

Easiest thing to do is have your bro open a bank account in the USA with a branch in Japan (just make sure there is a branch around where he is living), then you just deposit money in his account and he can withdraw it. No need for paypal or money order
