So, I picked up a new/sealed copy of NCAA 12 for $40.99 shipped the other day from a seller with a flawless 70+ rating. I noticed that the majority of his auctions were good deals on new/sealed games. Here's the auction:

I received the package today and it was as promised, but it was packaged from Walmart.com Returns Dept. and had a packing slip inside which stated that it was ordered by a woman in Massachusetts for full price, but had my address as the ship to. The seller's location is Texas.

I messaged the seller today with my concerns (Looks like a CC scam IMO) and he messaged me back this: "Hi. I'm sure you will not receive any charged. Thank you".

Should I pursue this further and if so, through who? Thanks!

I had something like this happen with a copy of Viva Pinata (or something) from ebay. It was shipped directly from MS to my apartment. At the time I suspected that it was some sorta of fradulent return scheme, where he claimed he had a damaged game then had them send it to me (and charged me for it via ebay).

If I remember I notified ebay to investigate it, but never heard anything about it. In fact I think ebay specifically said they wouldn't update me on the status.

If there any payment info (like if it was a Visa), I'd contact them and and give them as much detail as possible- maybe they'll do something about it. I'm not sure if this is a good idea though, since they might think you're the scammer...

Ebay doesn't do jack shit about these types of things outside of the "Thank you for your report! We take care to investigate every issue thoroughly... well, no we don't. We just like to raise our fees and make you think we're doing something" email.

BTW, if you buy a stolen good, the authorities have a right to take it away from you and you won't receive any reimbursement. If you are sure this is stolen, you will have a tough time getting your money back (not sure how PP covers these types of things).
