shipping to Canada

Just getting some advice on what the best way to ship to canada is.

I got a guy who's buying a huge collection of toys and games from me (finally get to unload up to 4 bins of toys and games from basement), but he lives in canada. He has paypal and right now we are still negotiating prices. I know a lot of you are 50/50 on shipping to canada, but here's what I want input on:

1) Who is better to use when shipping for tracking and price: USPS or UPS?

2) Should I send one box at a time or all together (i'm leading towards one at a time, so he'd pay for x amount of items, then I ship, after he receives, he pays for next batch, then I ship that)

3) What are custom rules like to Canada? IS there a fee?

Just watch out on the customs forms. You don't want the Mounties coming after you.

Trade agreements are pretty lax between the US and Canada, so as long as the customs form doesn't show some ridiculous number like $200+, then the other person should be fine. I would throw all that into a Priority mail flat rate box and insure it with a 3rd party insurance.

Canada Post just went on strike so I would make sure everything clears up before you send.
