Should I have bought these titles today/go back and get them?

CAGiversary!
After doing an exhaustive search for an EB that was open, which I didn't find any, I went to a couple Gamestops, which to my surprise I found some pretty good/decent titles I think.

they were Metal Slug X, Castlevania Chronicles, and a Wild Arms 1 in its original double disc box (I already have one but in its single disc case). Metal Slug X after taxes would have come up to $20 or so and Wild Arms would have been $17 or so. Castlevania was 29.99 and probably would have been $32.

Any opinions of these games and if these were good prices for them would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I forgot to put in my OP that when I was at one of the Gamestops, I found a near mint condition Suikoden 2 guidebook for 1.99 which I jumped on. All that's wrong with it is a couple of pages have the right corner a little bent a couple of creases on the cover. Nothing torn and besides, for 1.99 I couldn't pass it.

Personally, I think those are pretty good prices, and I would have bought all three. However, it probably depends on the condition of the games.

metal slug and wild arms, you can get cheaper if you frequent ebay...but chronicles...thats a gam of a game. IIRC there were only 10,000 made

Aww crap. I hadn't known that about Castlevania Chronicles.
wasnt it b2g1? better hurry back
At one store it was and the other it wasn't. The one store that did have it had the Chronicles and Wild Arms, but I really couldn't find a third game and didn't feel like getting some crappy game or get gipped.

Seems like I read CC had a run of 15k, but either way, it's pretty small. I keep kicking myself for not getting it for $20 new all those times I saw it at EB and GS. As for Wild Arms, it is a pretty standard RPG IMO. Not too great, not too bad. If you could get B2G1 (which it sounds like you can't) I'd say go for it. If not, it's not too good of a deal.
