Should we expect decent Switch bundles for Black Friday?

I'm trying to remember the Wii U's first BF, but can't recall there being any great bundles for it. I can pick up a Switch tonight, but my inner CAG is screaming at me to wait for a Zelda bundle. Anyone recall what the Wii U's first BF looked like?

Technically, Wii U's first black friday was right after release since it came out November 18th, 2012 :p However, it's first real black friday did have bundles available. I remember the Wind Waker HD Bundle was available and the Mario Bros U Bundle. That being said, the Wii U did have a full year before it's first black friday while the Switch only has 8 months or so.

I can only assume there will be some type of special bundle for Mario Odyssey, but if so I doubt it'll be for $300.

If they knock the core price(no game, just the basics) down to $250, I'd bite. OR if they add an extra game or 2 and keep the price at 300 or so, I'll bite. It looks like they are bringing out some good eshop games, and it certainly does suck that it won't be backwards compatible and you would have to re buy games you already bought on the wii, wii u and 3ds eshop if you want to play them on the switch.

That is what I was going to do. Wait for a bundle to come out. I figured it would probably be a bundle with either mario odyssey, 12 switch or mario kart 8. But the gamestop trade in deal is really good. And I also didn't expect the system to be as hard to find months after release with only a handful of first party games released on it. And the longer it stays hard to find the more doubtful it will be to get a bundle from nintendo.

I don't think we will have a deal this on years Black Friday for the switch system, I went ahead and bought the core system for three hundred this evening at gamestop. I will buy some games on Black Friday for the switch. I'm hoping for a lot of 30 to 35 dollar new titles. I'll grab a 3ds on the cheap on bf, but I don't think we will get a deal on the switch system because it's sold out everywhere, I mean zero of the local Best Buy stores in NYC have them right now. None

Given the ongoing stock issues, I think all you're really going to see this BF are MSRP bundles for the Switch.  There's little reason to discount the system when it's still selling out at full-price because Nintendo continues to struggle making these.

Sad thing is that if Nintendo fails to capitalize on having enough inventory, they're in danger of losing a golden opportunity to sell-through 15+ million and beat the Wii U in almost only a year.  I do think that if Nintendo can get the reported 18 million out there and sell them out this holiday, you ARE going to see some legitimate exclusive 3rd parties showing up for the party come next E3.

On the other hand, if Nintendo botches this opportunity and only sells through ~10 million, it could be that momentum slows next year, and it struggles/limps to reach more gamers.  The number of core Nintendo players is somewhere between 10-15 million.  The key is how much Nintendo can sell BEYOND 15 million.  18-20 million would be a monumental threshold breaker.  30 million and you could see 3DS level support on this thing.

No reason to have bundles yet. Switches are moving just fine without.

Even the upcoming Splatoon 2 bundle isn't a deal. Buying everything separately would cost the same as the bundle's MSRP.

Since there are so many stock issues, seems doubtful, but who knows? I would guess maybe retailers discount a bundle with games/software at most.

I am interested in a bundle more for the exclusive console design more so than price reduction. Although after seeing the lazy Splatoon 2 "effort", it might not be worth the wait.
