Hey everyone!
Wanted to get your thoughts on this (and couldn't find a better thread to put it in).

What do the fellow CAGers out there think of having like a convention or a meet and greet. Basically, we set a date (someone rents a place, others buy tickets through paypal) and people from all over bring their stuff to trade, show off, sell, etc.

Also, it gives each other a chance to meet fellow CAGers and chat and play games and maybe tournaments or something..

Just throwing it out there, fire away!

Well I think it'd be a cool idea, especially since us gamers are excluded from awesome meetups like E3, but where would it be held? I mean...we've got CAGs from all around the world.

I dont think a convention/gathering would work were the main feature is meeting people on a forum. It would be a handful of people looking at each other, the end.

The only way it would work if it was something similar to the penny arcade expo were there are new games, panels, events etc.

A gaming convention that had CAG in the name somewhere.

This is for sure a project that would rest in cheapy's corner.
If something like this ever happened, I think we should keep out anyone that says “CAGers.” fuck those guys.
I don't think your fellow CAGers would like that :shame:

This has happened in the past, I went. Wombat and Shipwreck where there as well as a a bunch of forum members, and myself. We met at dave and busters, played arcade games, and had dinner. There where also prizes given for most tickets won and stuff like that.

I'm all for this, if its held in Vegas, just so my temporarily disabled ass doesn't have to travel far.

I'll even bring my own hooters!

I'd love to meet Cheapy just once in person, just to thank him, shake his hand, and at least buy him a drink. Seriously, his website here has saved me so much money, and brought me so much joy as a result I feel I need to thank him in person someday.
