I'm a total satellite radio newb. I need a recomendation for a Sirius receiver that will work with the Sirius Boombox (SUBx1). When I look at reviews a lot of negative stuff on some of them and I'm not sure which ones are compatiable with the boombox. Do all the receivers have an aux out for the car attachment?

Finally, once you subscribe is their a cancelation fee when you leave ala satellite tv? Any other advice or helpfull hints is much appreciated. Thanks!!!

This is what you want. It has an aux out & I have the previous version & love it.

There is a $15 activation fee that gets charged when you 1st startup or if you let your sub lapse. Don't go month to month , you get a good discount if you commit to 6 months or more.

OK, got another question. I was looking at the Sirius Boombom, there is the SUB-X1 for $99.99 and radio Shack hast he SUB-X1R for $49.99. What is the difference between the two? I can't find out anywhere on the web and Sirius customer service is the worst.

There appears to be no difference and judging by the scant google results I'm guessing RS has the product# wrong. My other thought was that maybe its a refurb but I see no note of that on the RS page and don't think RS sells refurb stuff anyhow. Personally I'd save myself the $50 and buy from RS.
