I'm looking to get a Sirius receiver, but there are some good codes out there to save a lot of $$ if you order direct from Sirius. Anybody know of any codes?

Also, any recommendations on which unit to get?

Hmm, I'm also looking to get Sirius sometime this year (as I'm sure many other people are). I've been looking around Best Buy and other stores to see what's available, and would also like some recommendations as to what hardware people like. Should I buy something now, or would I be better off waiting until this coming fall/holidays for better sales and/or tech?
 
We have been using the Audiovox SIR PNP2 for about 10 months now. It is one of their earliest models and it works perfectly. I know they have newer models for the same price but Audiovox does the job.

If you have a family member with a membership, you can save some monthly fee charges by adding your new receiver under their account. So instead of paying $12.95 a month for service, you would just pay $6.99. Of course, your family member will have to trust you that you will pay your part of the bill.

Sirius rocks and I highly recommend them!
 
Cool, thanks guys. I'm a big Stern fan and I'll get one before next year.

I'm torn though because there will new and presumably better units coming out this year (some nice looking units revealed at CES), but if I get it now I can probably get a receiver for $50 with a promo code. I don't know if they'll have these kinds of deals a year from now.

That's my first dilema. The second is that I was thinking of going with a sporster unit, but I don't like football. I was hoping they'll put out a basketball themed model.
