Skyrim collector edition guide book - $21.99 Barnes and Noble

Tsunami18

CAGiversary!
The collector edition of the Skyrim strategy guide is currently a deal of the day special at Barnes & Noble for only $21.99. This is available online. Sorry I can't provide a link, writing this up on my mobile.

Is there some difference between the editions, besides the text "Second Edition" on the newest one? Are the first editions worth more? I have a first edition I've been thinking of listing on eBay......

Anyway, good deal regardless. I'm guessing they're doing this because these guides aren't selling anymore... I see stacks of them at B/N and BB and Amazon has a ton left.

Besides the second edition on the cover, they also fixed some spelling errors. As for the price, it looks like the first editions are still fetching a nice price on eBay.

Anyone else have any coupon codes for B&N? I have a BN membership (not sure what it is called) that gives me free 2 day shipping. I signed up for a trial and forgot to cancel but oh well.

Anyways that coupon code only takes 15% off of one item. I'm planning on ordering three so I was wondering if there were other discount codes floating around

Thanks OP, and thanks vherub for the coupon. I signed up for their free membership (Just have to remember to cancel) and grabbed a copy with expedite shipping for $20.35.
really tempted to get this, but it goes against my "explore and find out myself" trend of RPG's...
I bought it just to have it since I bought the collectors edition of Skyrim. Figured, might as well get the book too lol

Finally gave in to this. Really don't need it since I just read the UESP Wiki and use the Dragon Shout iOS app.

Did the same.

Just so you guys know, B&N places their items in a box, with some useless padding. I ordered my Uncharted 3 guide from them and it was in a somewhat large box, with a few bubbles but there was no cushioning on the sides and the corners were all dented up.

You should always return dented books out of principle. Even the CSR @ Amazon told me that the # of returns due to damage is a calculation in how they ship an item. The more returns, the better the shipping.

As with anything, that could be fluff.

Ordered this at this price Dec 23rd, so not so sure about it being a deal of the day, but it is the second edition. Knew it was a big book, but it's huge. And yeah, came in a box 5 times the size needed, with no packing material other than one sheet of brown paper folded around the book. Luckily only one corner got slightly bent.

I'm that way too about games. But I do like to look up stuff after I'm done with the game (or quest). Which is why I got one. Are the 1st editions still getting more on eBay?

Totally not related but funny.
In other news I was sneaking up on some ice wolves in the mountains when Letrush came running by yelling something about being surrounded and killed the ice wolves and ran off. I do wonder what happened to the horse I stole for him.

Haha, I was looking at this, then looked to the side of my desk, to see I already had it, well the first edition I assume anyway, guess I forgot for a second.

But since I was at that site, I looked for the CE guide of Skyward Sword, which was on sale too, so I got that, thanks OP, haha.

Is that all? Did they actually add any info or fix any real errors? Add anything? or is the only difference simply the text on the cover, and a couple spelling errors that were fixed?

Im curious if any content was actually added
