sly 2 shipped with DC for $24, mint and complete. it only has a drilled hole above the barcode, the manual and dvd case will have a hole. a toothpick could barely squeeze through it. i currently accept payments by mail, or check my want list.
so you want me to give it to you for free?
No, but you're only trying to sell it on here because no stores will take it as trade-in.. just keep the game.. half of the people here got that game, but it's just cheap that you got a faulty demo disc and sent it in to get that game for free and now you're trying to sell it.. just keep it and enjoy it
In Eric's defense, this is a "trading" site, not a "trading by game stores standards" site. If he's lucky enough to get a free one, why is it worse to trade that than one he paid for? It's not like he stole the thing.
Lighten up. It's not like he's forcing you to buy it.
He wasn't "lucky". Half the people here got a free one. If he was trading, that'd be different, but he wants to charge for something that Sony gave out for free. But yeah, i'm out of this topic.
Maybe for people who don't have this for free, $28 is a good price. It seems like it would go to better use if he sold it. Maybe he played it and beat it, maybe he doesn't like it. Should he 'hoard' it, instead of sharing the wealth. Would it be different if he bought it for $1.99? That's pretty close to free and not that hard to imagine happening.
Personally, I tend to think people can ask whatever the heck they want for a game. It's up to the buyer to decide if he or she wants to pay that amount. ericx isn't trying to scam anyone. He's upfront about the condition of the game and anyone hanging around here should know its approximate value. Let the market decide!
Eww, I just sounded like a Republican with that last sentence. Must go listen to NPR now...
Gamestop takes games with no case or manual, what do they care if a hole is in the art and case? I traded a game to EB with the UPC cut out (from a rebate submission) and they didn't care about that.
I'd be surprised if either chain would decline the game for this reason, but if you know from experience I'll go along with ya.
I did get the game for free, since it was given to me it makes it my property. What I am doing isn't even illegal. wherehouse.com accepts media even if the barcode has a hole and i could trade it in w/ out dvd case or just change the case, the barcode is still intact. The hole is just above the bars, it's not touching a single bar. I am trying to sell it because: 1. cash is more useful than trade-in 2. the buyer is getting a good deal. if anyone wants it i'll drop it to 24 shipped w/ DC 3.Scorch why do you even care? it's not going to affect you in any way.
