So I finally bought a PS3

Its BC too! I now have the trifecta. I currently have some dough and wondering what games I should buy for it. I already picked up MGS4, that was a no brainer. I'm actually more concerned about what games are coming out for the PS3 in the near future (end of 2009 - spring 2010). Specifically PS3 exclusives. I browsed around the internet and most of the games I saw are multiplatform. So what say you CAG community? What are some future games I should save my money for?
 
Well, personally, I'd return MGS4 and get a good game. But that's me. Anyway, Uncharted is a requirement, and the sequel comes out in about 2 weeks. The Ratchet and Clank games are also phenomenal. I'd also pick up LittleBigPlanet, and probably Resistance. I had a blast playing inFamous as well.
 
Don't know where you've been looking. Uncharted 2 is coming out in a little over 2 weeks!!! You can prepare by playing Uncharted 1. Ratchet and Clank and Demon's Souls are also coming out next month.
 
Big PS3 exclusives on those months will be: Last Guardian, Gran Turismo 5 (import), and Heavy Rain.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time, God of War Collection, God of War 3, MAG. Theirs also some smaller exclusives like Eyepet, Afrika, and Record of Agarest War and I think MGS4 is one of the top 5 all time games.

I'm kidding though. To be honest, I have no problem with the game. I just like giving people a hard time about it. I didn't care for it, but I know that plenty of people did, so more power to you if you do enjoy it. I just personally think that there are better games on the PS3 (Uncharted being the main one that comes to mind, with inFamous definitely being up there as well).
 
MGS4 was a good game...it definitely had flaws, but still one of the best games on ps3.

Get Uncharted 2, comes out in about 2 weeks. Maybe play Uncharted 1 in the meantime. Then you can go from there, i guess, with GT5 and God of War in early 2010.
 
Another vote for Uncharted. I'm still playing through it, had to download the latest firmware update so the game wouldn't freeze on me.

You might also want to consider picking up Valkyria Chronicles for $20 at Walmart - if you can find it.

Valkyria Chronicles was released a year or so, but if you haven't checked it and/or the Demo out yet, I'd strongly recommend it. Can be found for fairly cheap nowadays, depending on where you look.

As for stuff to get for the PS3, I'd recommend GTAIV(even though the controls are radically different from last gen), Prototype, Little Big Planet, Mercenaries 2, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Ghostbusters, Saint's Row 2 and Demon's Souls.

Yes, most of those are multiplatform, but to me it doesn't matter if something is multiplatform or not, as long as it's fun to play.

These are the ones I have, and they're all really good games.
 
Play Uncharted now, and pick up Uncharted 2 when it comes out. You should also pick up Little Big Planet, especially if you have a GF or wife that you would like to play with. Both my GF and my roomates GF love that game.

MGS4 is a great cinematic game. If you liked any of the previous, its very similar. If you didn't like them, you wont like this one.
 
Thanks for all the responses. I know Uncharted is apparently "the shit" and I've seen some gameplay from it, how does it play though? Reminds me of Tomb Raider (not a big fan). Also, Demon Souls interested me, but then I saw the gameplay, it looks... odd. I guess I'm going to have to wait and see.
 
Uncharted is...think of Tomb Raider for puzzles (but better) and Indy for action. Very good game overall, just beat it Saturday :)
 
Uncharted plays much better than Tomb Raider.

It was one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time. Its a shame its so short.
 
I really liked uncharted (until, well... you know...).

I wasn't expecting to like it that much. It kind of made me wonder if I had missed out by skipping all the Tomb Raider games after the first one.
 
Ratchet and Clank

I used to love that series but got bored with the PS2 sequels.

On the PS3 the game is georgeous and the gameplay is simply brilliant. Simple and intuitive it's enough to make you forget the controller and focus on the game. So balanced, you'll want to max out every weapon too.

Fun, fun, fun.
