So it a trend for kids to get high by choking themselves?

In the old days people got high with the good old street drugs.

Another event proving why the Legalization of Weed is necessary.

I was watching this on 20/20 or dateline (or one of the other prime time news shows) the other night and I was just sitting there like what the fuck are these kids thinking? How god damn stupid do you have to be to realize that you need to BREATHE! I mean some of these kids were 14-15 years old! I think this is a perfect example of how natural selection still can work in today's society.

yea, i have never hear of this getting high by choking..............i think the question on all of our minds is.............does it work???

Good God, I hope it is. Anything that encourages stupid people to kill themselves is a good thing.

I forget teh name but it did go through the schools about 1992-1994 or so. back then the kids would hold their breath and have a friend or two push ontheir chest until they passed out... or almost passed out.

it would lead to quick short dreams or hallucinations etc. I have seen video of people doing it. But I mean its been going on for a damn decade or more.

Somebody should call Hilary Clinton.

Maybe we can mandate that kids wear iron collars so that they can't choke themselves.

Will somebody PLEASE think of the children

i have done it before, something like a "natural high". its quite ridiculous. is it a trend? not really, because no one i know makes choking themselves a habit. its cool once or twice until you realize you're probably messing with your brain or something.

BEGIN BUTTHEAD IMMITATION Uhhhhh..... huh huh huh..... uhhhhhhh...... huh huh huh..... choking yourself is cool..... huh huh huh..... END BUTTHEAD IMMITATION

Actually, whats happening now is the kids are actually hanging themselves. I've heard several news stories of kids dying because they either hung themselves on a tree or in the closet with the light cord.

Ya know, it's probably not something you want to go around telling people. It's not much better than telling people you eat crayons.

In High School about 10 years ago we did something like this during a study hall. You would bend over and take deep breaths then suddenly sit up while someone pressed on the sides of your neck. It was weird everybody reacted to it differently for me it felt like the world fell over sideways and than it was like I was under water. One girl actually had a real bad reaction which scared us off from doing it thankfully. Looking back I knowe it was pretty damn stupid but than again it wasn't the dumbest thing I have done in my life

I guess the ACT and SAT averages will be going up next year. Seeing as how less kids will be smoking pot because of this (then again, I smoke on a somewhat regular basis and got an ACT score of 33, but whatever).
It's not a trend because people have been doing it for a long time, in the past they simply held their breat instead.
Yeah but if you hold your breath for too long then your body FORCES you to inhale, just like what causes people to drown. Some geniuses like to bypass this little safety feature though by using some type of cord or rope. Let 'em, they're only saving us the trouble of having to deal with them in society.

I've never smoked anything and I got a 35.

There's zero correlation there.

Although I've never personally tried it (I'm not a moron), in theory, I'm pretty sure it does work. Starving the brain of oxygen does provide a brief feeling of euphoria, but at the cost of possible brain damage. It's the same principle behind "huffing", which was all the rage a few years ago, with the young kids inhaling paint thinner or any other toxic fumes that would restrict the flow of oxygen to the brain.

Isn't science fun!... until you get brain damage anyway.

I've always seen modern medicine as a double-edged sword. Yes it's wonderful, and many smart people can be cured and brought back from the brink of death...however, many stupid people can be saved and brought back from the brink of death also, which really fucks up the whole natural selection thing. We're encouraging stupidity to breed.
