Needless to say Im skeptical, if nothing more because of the price (its a 20 gig) what are some ways I can protect myself just to be fully safe?

You have to ask yourself why someone would sell something like that for $200 when they could probably get double that, or at least 50% more. Sounds fishy to me.

There might be problems with it. Since it's facebook, you probably live near the seller. I'd ask to test it out.

Probably just come college kid trying to get some quick money for beer and shit. But then again I am probably wrong since I usually am lmao.

He probably put someone elses phonenumber up as a joke so people will call and be like "ZOMG j00z got a ps3 for 200 dollaz?!" all night and day.

Since it's the Facebook marketplace there are two scenarios. 1) He plans on mugging you for the $200. 2) The PS3 is stolen.

Or it could be like the Xbox 360 Elite that was for sale near me on Craigslist for 200.00...I e-mailed the guy about it saying I would take it and asking him where he was located at and I got a huge e-mail back with a referral link and a "here's how to get a FREE 360 ELITE".

yes, thats annoying the way he markets his link but they do work.

And I think its fishy too. Ask to test it out.

I found a PS3 (new 60 gig w/extra controller) on Craigslist for $360.

Spoke to the woman through email, as well as on the phone. Turns it out she bought it for a BF and I guess they broke up, hence the sale. Going to check it out tomorrow (but bringing my gun with me just in case it's something fishy, haha).

Haha why? I have a concealed carry permit; it's not like I'm breaking the law or anything.
