I recently sold a game on Amazon then after I shipped (via USPS) the buyer tells me:
"I had selected my new address for shipping and for some reason this package has been mailed to my old address. Could you please see if we can stop the shipment or redirect to our New Mexico address?"

Anyone have this happen before?

As far as I know there's no way to stop/reroute a package with USPS.

Anyone have any comments/suggestions on how to handle this?

I already sent Amazon an email asking for their advice, but figured I'd ask here as well.

Its not your fault that you were given the wrong address... that's the buyers fault for providing the wrong address. I hope you used delivery confirmation!

Tell them you are sorry but per amazon rules you can only ship to the address they had selected on file. NEVER ship to a different address. NEVER NEVER NEVER.

This.

Also, forwarding only works for first class mail and above, I think, so if you sent it media mail you might be out of luck.

Either way you don't want to ship to a different address. If you do you waive all your protection as a seller and they can simply say it never arrived. Even if you had a video tape of them recieving it, taking it out, and using it you'd lose as you shipped to a different address then the one on file.
