has anyone had any problems with that coupon? i was just thinking about making a thread to ask that question (i can't find the original thread on it)....i never even realized the coupon expires at the end of this year....if no1 has had any problems with the coupon, then what the hell do we need the GGC for? any help in answering these questions or finding the original thread would be appreciated

bump before it goes off of the front page

I haven't had any problems with the $5 off coupon. I've used it twice, at two different Best Buys. I was thrilled when those came out because the BBs near me don't have the GGCs anymore. Well, they do, but only the ones with coupons for $5 off any game $29.99 and up.

I wish I could help you find the original thread, TSD, but I can't find it either.

The PS2 / PSP coupons work fine... I've used about 7 of them so far, on sale games, on cheap stuff (like Metal Arms), on full price stuff, basacially everything.

The cashier will take it, look at it, scan it through and be done with it. I've never had them ask me any questions about it, or have any problem scanning it through, and I've done it at two different Best Buys.

We'd still need the GGC for Xbox / GC / GBA / DS games, since the coupon is PS2/ PSP only.

And nice find on that Mario RPG... my friend was at an EB about two hours away this weekend, for some reason, and find a mint / complete Final Fantasy 3 (with maps!) for 25, secret of mana cart for 10, and secret of evermore cart for 10, and left them all there because his friend said "they aren't worth that much".

Man was he pissed when I told him how much FF 3 complete goes for.

Since the BB coupon's been posted, I've used it nearly 10 times at 3 different BB's, and never had a problem with the cashiers not taking it. 'Only problem i had was it not working on Virtua Fighter Evolution..since that's considered a 'clearance' game @ $9.99. The system wouldn't identify the discount when used on this particular game. ( i'll post this in the official thread, as well )

At the EB i went to, they had Secret of Mana ( cart only ), but it was $39.99, not $10. Oh, and Final Fantasy II for $29.99 ( cart only ) I passed on those. Wow... 'too bad your friend passed up that FF3. Tell him, "you're lame!" for me ;)
