Hi I also have an account with La Caixa and agree that their website is excellent and they have many branches you can pop into no Caixa Catalunya is another bank altogether.

I have a bank account in NZ with ANZ bank. When I do my online banking, I have seen them advertise for new customers to open a bank account before they go to NZ. Check there website.
