Hey guys,
Not sure if I'm supposed to post this on here or the other deals & requests thread, but I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could possibly buy the Sonic Generations Collector's edition without going through Ebay. I know it was limited and it's becoming crazy hard to find, but I'm trying not to pay too much more than $200 if at all possible. I'm just not too familiar with foreign sites, and which ones (if any had them actually had this in stock, which I'm starting to doubt) would even ship to the states. I tried ordering it from Amazon.co.uk when it was first listed, only to find out they don't ship to us. :cry: Anyways, sorry for my rant, and I hope I posted this in the right place. Thanks for your help!
 
As far as I know, most retailers went OOS during preorders. You're not going to find it on any retail sites now, outside of 3rd party sellers.

Your best (and likely only) bet is eBay.
 
What Vinny said. I wanted one of these but if you didn't get it from the start you're going to pay a premium that's not worth it IMO. Get other stuff.


I think the statue from the collectors edition was sold separately though I could be wrong. If I'm right it had a NA release then.
 
There's a smaller collector's edition, which is also quite cool. It has the game come in a holo slipcase, includes some DLC, and came with a slick blue steelbook. That would be a much cheaper alternative for a Sonic CE. I would say to go through ebay UK or AU though. You have buyer protection if it doesn't arrive/comes damaged, you can shop prices, and you can communicate with the seller about how you want it shipped. Ebay is much better for importing in its own right for those reasons.
 
Thanks for the responses everyone! I figured it would be hard to find, but was just double checking because I'm not too familiar with websites out of the states, other than like Zavvi and hmv. It's a shame they didn't make that many as this is a really great edition to a game. I didn't know about the smaller collector's edition, though, which I'll definitely be checking out. Thanks again!
 
I just sold one because the outer box came damaged from Amazon.de, so I ordered another one about a week and a half ago. I havent checked today, but when I ordered they had 10 left.

Third parties still have it, but I don't know if they ship to the states. Amazon.de (Germany), and Amazon.it (Italy) ship games to the USA. The PS3 version cost me around $115 shipped to the US from Amazon.de.

I wish I posted this a few days ago then haha. I didn't know Amazon.de and Amazon.it shipped to the states. I assumed none of them did since the UK didn't. Third Party sellers also don't ship to the states (I just contacted them saying I would cover the extra charges and all, but they couldn't). I'll keep on trying and maybe I'll get lucky soon. :) Thanks for the information though!
 
I think Amazon France ships to the US too. The reason I know Amazon Italy ships here is because I bought the exclusive Sailor Moon DS game for my sister. I'll look around for you though, I think some other German site had it in stock, because it was cheaper than Amazon but shipping was more. I'll have to check my history and see if I can find it for you.

The German one is identical to the British one, besides the box is in German. Game, and documentary are in English.

Thank you so much for your help, aTaRiFrEaK223. I really appreciate you looking around sites for me. I'll be doing the same as well, but it seems you're definitely more knowledgeable than I am when it comes to importing. And it doesn't matter to me what the language on the box is. I just basically want it for the physical items inside (like the statues and DVD/CD). Thanks again though!
