Sonic Generations (PS3 Only) $36.96 on Amazon

Very fun game. I highly recommend it. If you're into Sonic, it's a no brainer. The replay value is great as well which is perfect since the actual "story" is short.

Couldn't agree more. $37 is a lot to ask for a Sonic game when there are so many AAA titles on the market.

Would Amazon match it's own price if someone bought it a few days ago from them (& it still shipping)?

I would qualify Sonic Generations as a AAA game. It's the most enjoyable game I've played this year. $40 is a great price, though of course $20 would be sweet too.

That's a tiny bit less than what I paid for it at launch. So far, I've played it more than Uncharted 3 (not that UC3 is bad, but Sonic is enjoyable in short bursts!).

Excellent game. The PS3 version is a little goofy (it'll lag sometimes during the hub world, and rarely during levels), so I'd probably jump on the 360 version if its the same price.

Been playing it all day yesterday....it IS a AAA game- best sonic game in over a decade

Sonic Generations is easily worth $40. Best Sonic game in 10 years. This is a AAA game and to me rivals any AAA release this year in terms of quality.

I went in being cautiously optimistic, and in the end this game ended up blowing me the fuck away. Sonic Generations has easily become one of the most downright fun games I've played this year. There's loads of replayability, fanservice, and enough unlockables to keep you hooked for quite a while. Most of all- the gameplay is FULLY COMPETENT, which is usually a rarity when it comes to Sonic games.

I bought this at MSRP and I haven't been disappointed one bit.

Did you get to the final boss? That was the only part I really disliked (that and Vector's Act 2 challenge). The final boss just felt way too obtuse and arbitrary, I never felt like I was actually doing anything significant to beat him, just mashing on X and hoping for the best.

Yeah, the end boss reeked of past Sonic blunders and was a glaring fault in an otherwise stellar game. To be honest, I really had no idea HOW to beat it. Basically, it was just as you put it; I got lucky was all... So yeah, I semi-retract what I said about not being TOTALLY disappointed. lol

Shame that the game had to end on such a low note, including that ending, to which I'm sure everyone said,
"oh lawd, Sonic- PLEASE DON'T MATURE INTO THAT!"

Those so many AAA titles are dime a dozen and happen just about every couple months. This new Sonic game however is one of kind. We haven't seen one like this for over a decade. So I much rather spend $37 on a Sonic game than the the same price for a AAA rerun. The only thing holding this Sonic game back is the 30fps framerate, but that's when the PC version comes in if you have the hardware to dish 60fps. This game reminds me when the New Super Mario Bros first came out on the DS after a long absent of a true 2D Mario adventure.

This is a very enjoyable game. I will get my entertainment out of it and then sell/trade it for what will hopefully still be a good price. I got it earlier this week when Amazon was selling the PS3 version for 37.49.

got it for 30 at bestbuy. i still need to play dark souls, batman, and like 1000 other games. i need to stop buying games so i can play some of them. poor poor cag / first world problems
