Sound Bars

Hello everyone, I'm looking into getting a sound bar in the near future. A traditional 5.1 surround setup is not an option, as space is limited. Anyone have experience with these in how well they simulate 5.1 and/or their sound quality overall, and more importantly, what model(s) would you recommend? I'm looking to spend a maximum of $300.

Quick browsing led me to this:

but I'll probably wait until Black Friday to make a decision to see if anything appetizing surfaces, and to get other's opinions...I have absolutely zero experience with these.

For that price you're best off getting that one. Most soundbars aren't very well built because they don't sell very much. My other suggestion is the official PS3 soundbars but that is 2.1 channels.

Sears has a Sharp brand one with Koss speakers on clearance, not sure for how much and not sure how good/bad it is.

I've only seen it at one Sears store thus far and it sold out at that store before I could go back and get an item number to have to checked at other local Sears stores.
