sound output from HDMI and optical at same time

I currently have a 360 with composite audio running to the TV and optical to my receiver so that when the kiddies are asleep I can still game but if I want the full effect I can lower the TV volume and pump the amp.

Is this possible on the PS3 or do I need to go into the audio settings each time and change it manually. Basically is it possible to have the audio output through the HDMI and the optical at the same time?

Hmmm..... for some reason I know with my TV I have the optical through the receiver and the HDMI through the TV and if I set my TV to HDMI instead of DVI the TV will still play sound along with the receiver EVEN if have I have the audio set to optical. So I don't know that I can say a yes, or if it's jsut something with my TV, but it does work with mine.
