Just a heads up for those interested.

I went to BB today and saw a sale for Spiderman 2 on the PS2 for $1.99. I have no idea how long this is going to last but it's a pretty fun game for 2 bucks even if it's short.

Not on the floor rpw clearance section but is mixed up with the old PS2 games.

...hooooly crap. I think I got Spiderman 2 for 1.99 on the Gamecube from BB like, damn...probably a year and a half ago. That's one hell of a leftover.
Haha...I paid $50 for that when it came out new
Yep... you can always tell a cag in training by the fact they actually paid full price for a game... you will learn here that you never have to again, well over 3/4 of my collection was picked up for 5 dollars a game or less

Very seldom to I pay even CLOSE to full price even on games I really want during the first week or so, you can always find a deal cutting the price down by at least $10. :)

not to mention we had the BB GGC for so long, that at least you could have gotten $5 off a release game. At least PS2 games are debuting at $40 these days but I only buy a game at release if I know I will have a hard time finding it later (like Atlus games)

So long as 3/4 of the collection isn't made up of sub-par to horrible games :) Hey, I like cheap games too but sometimes, the best games can't be found at $5. If you're ever torn between picking up 3 copies of titles like Drake, Batman Begins, and the Hobbit, you're far better off dropping $15 on X-Men Legends II.

My collection is pretty good, any crap games I had have been recently sold off on amazon, for more than I paid for them in the first place.
Some examples of free games in my collection:
Magna Carta PS2 mint
Warioware SM about 40 cents worth of penny guides
RE4 Wii Free after rebate
LaPucelle Tactics 2 bucks
Zelda 4 swords 3 bucks from Sears

other low priced games:
DDS 1 boxed sealed (6 bucks from TRU clearance a couple years ago with price match)
Zelda Minish Cap 7 bucks from Target

Most of the games I pay more for, such as current generation games generally hover around the 20-25 dollars for new games (took advantage of Rhino's real trade 2 for one deal many times... RIP Rhino) Im left with a collection which is worth alot more than I paid for it, so when I go to selling off games I wouldnt ever play like a $2 copy of DOA hardcore, I can make a little cash on them (it sold for 20 on Amazon)

BTW, I had Drake... cost me a buck, traded it into FYE for 8 bucks, had the Hobbit bought for 2 sold for 12, have Batman Returns on my hard drive

Sweet, dude -- you've def. got a nice collection going there :)
I'm probably nearing the end of my videogame shenanigans (law school is going to make me very poor) but i collected quite a bit while i was out and working. I worked in media consulting so have a lot of free EA games but most of my game collection ballooned through the $5 Circuit City and $10 TRU sales from a while ago.

I do have a few more I'd like to get my hands on -- but paying more than $10 for a game right now (when I'll probably never get around to it) is making me think twice.
