Spikeout: Battle Street(Xbox) $26.99 PLUS FREE SHIPPING at SamGoody.com

yet gamestop still doesnt have this game. Personally I am paying a few extra $ at EB to make sure I am getting this game.

It looks like it will retail for $29.99. If it is not an exclusive then GGC is a definite possibility. Depends if having the game delivered to your doorstep is worth the few bucks and change...
Interesting. That means that it may not be an EB exclusive.
Yeah, I was thinking there is no way Sega could be THAT dumb.

I love Sega just as much as the next SegaFan but don't you remember the exclusive they did with Target for Sonic Pinball Party??? Bad idea cause that was a great game!
hmmm, I may wait until it actually comes out now.
I went down to my local EB today to pre-order it. When I asked the guy (who is a big xbox fan) about the limited quantity, he was dumbfounded and he said that he's never recieved a memo stating limited quantities...hell...he hadn't heard of the game before I brought it up.

Its either clever marketing by Sega or this game is completely coming out of left field.
So are there really only 3600 copies? I am beginning to wonder...
There's obviously more. TeamXbox's article is a sham.

I got this plus Street Fighter Collection (also 26.99) and used the 1050 code. Wound up getting both for $44 shipped. Good deal - thanks OP. It only charged me for $17 right now. The price of SFAC -$10.

Save $10 off $50 when you use a Visa card and enter the code.

#-o I always use a visa card.....ill just have to cancel my order and reorder with something else

possible suggestions would be:

spikeout 26.99
narc 17.99
megaman ac 17.99

basic math sales total = 62.97 -$10 for a grand total of...

$52.97

Sorry Dropout, I figured most of us had seen the other SG post. The 1050 code is as ransom explained. 10 off 50 if you use a visa. You can reuse the code for many orders as long as they each total over 50 and you pay with a visa. This is my 2nd order that I have used it on. I also got Doom CE for $43.

i think the deal is probably best when you're total is as close to $50 as possible....plus i plan on buying narc at BB after GGC and i already have megaman ac.....thanks though

Yay, cancelled by $35 EB order I placed this morning and instead ordered Doom 3:CE for $44.

Why hadn't I heard of this magical deal before? It makes me happy.

As far as Spikeout goes, it's also listed at Gamefly.com so I'm going to hold off on buying it. If it ends up being 3,600 copies, then I guess I lose but I'm willing to take that risk at this point.

I think the 3600 is BS...maybe Sega PAID the guy to say that _>

i'm getting in anyway...a Live beat em up sounds like fun even if it isnt teh best. game. ever.

hmm do you have to use a Visa for the 1050 coupon? Mine went through with another card, but I don't wanna risk cancellation, may cancel and reorder with a Visa.

Well the here is a link to the Visa info:

http://usa.visa.com/personal/discounts/SamGoody.com/vro_details.jsp?merchantName=SamGoody.com&merchantId=10122&pageId=197&it=il|http://usa.visa.com/personal/

It was created for visa card users but if SG dosen't have it linked to the payment options, I guess it might work on anything. There is a chance that someone at SG might catch it and cancel your order but I doubt it.

I was able to find it at a local EB. Which is good, since it looks like the SG orders will not be filled.

Y'know, maybe if I had an XBox, I'd frequent the XBox forums. As it was, I was browsing around and saw that auction, and thought it might interest some people here. Save the sarcasm for someone who deserves it, Scorch. :p
CALL/CHECK out EB first. I just called them, told me they had like 4 in-stock for $19.99.
$19.99? That's odd, I was at an EB yesterday and it was $29.99 (I didn't get it though, it was the shelf copy).

Yup, EB @ Lakewood, California. I call both EB store located inside Lakewood Mall. Each had 2 in-stock which make 4. There used to be one EB, but EB bought them out.

Ahem.

Sega32XBox.jpg

If I recall, some of the last generation Saturn games had very limited production runs (~10000 for Panzer Dragoon Saga, and a similar small number for Shining Force III). I know the only place I ever saw them for sale was at EB.

Is this price confirmed? Because the link doesn't seem to work anymore. Either SamGoody is OOS or that was a pricing mistake.

Can this topic be locked? the item isn't up on samgoodys site anymore

Wait till EBgames goes in stock, it might, its on "back order"
purchasing this game would be a mistake...

it's horrible
I entirely agree. I feel bad for anyone who paid over $50 for this thing, it should be value priced at $10 or less.

I'm sure many a Sega fan will disagree, but they can go ahead and stick in on their shelf right next to Blue Stinger.

it's a fine rental or as you said... budget title

as a full price game it's a rip-off

which begs the question... is a good deal on a P.O.S actually such a good deal??

i think not

It is if you actually enjoy the game in question.

if the game in question is a p.o.s. to you then i'd imagine you wouldn't enjoy it very much

I bought this from EB yesterday, and spent about two hours playing co-op w/ my roommate. I think it's a blast, essentially 3D Final Fight. There are some minor camera issues, but besides that, we both thought it was great.

I'd like to add that this is the first game I've paid full price for in at least six months, and I think it's worth it.

I have yet to open my copy!! I am still holding out to see if they wide release the game or not.

let us know what you think after 20 hours

I don't have 20 hours to play it over the next few days, nor would I want to play that much in a short period of time. If I did, probably how I'd feel after playing 20 hours of the original Final Fight... It's best in small doses ;)

It has the feel of an actual arcade game, most of which you'd never play for 20 hours w/o getting bored. The arcade feel is what I expected, but if you expect more, you'll likely be disappointed.
