If you don't have it, $65 isn't horrible for that edition. The game itself is great, too.

I got it from CC with $15 coupon. I haven't even opened it!

It will likely drop more, but 30 days have passed so I couldn't return it to CC anymore.

Two expansions have already been announced. The first is called "Creepy Creature Parts" and will retail for $19.99 something next month. The second will be released Q1 2009 and add depth to the galactic phase of the game.

Spore was designed from the ground up to be a cash cow.

I think people are overreacting a bit with the whole DRM thing, but the game is pretty mediocre.

Only the first stage is good due to its nice background visuals. After that it just goes downhill, with dated graphics and crappy boring gameplay full of annoyances.
