star wars or star trek

I prefer Star Wars(Apples) because its more to my length...but to compare one of the greatest trilogys of all time, with the greatest series of all time...well thats tough to do, becuase what star wars lacks in length it makes up for in greatness, but star trek makes up for semi-greatness with a whole lot of it

I love both, but I'd definitely pick Star Wars. I got into it first, and I've always been a huge freak for it; I was utterly fanatical about it when I was younger, and, although I haven't been into it as much in recent years, I am still a huge fan. But I am a huge Star Trek fan too, in somewhat of a different way, but still greatly appeals to my sci-fi geekiness.
 
Star Wars between the two but the new trilogy has just destroyed the magic. Personally, I'll take Lord of the Rings over these two anytime.
 
I am going to give up some love for Star Trek. Star Wars is cool but its based more on mythology and such. Star Trek has more tangible ideas like several species working together, exploring new frontiers, developing new technology, etc.
 
neither suck to me. I appreciate they fact that about 2 times a year I go and watch an episode of star trek. And I am never disappointed. I also do the same thing with star wars ( ep 4-6) I will watch it maybe once a year. I never cared for star wars however I still like watching any classic movie.
