So, on a computer with Vista on it, as soon as you boot up, the start menu pops up. If you roll over to click on something, it disappears. Move mouse, re-appears. It randomly pops up all the time, and I don't know how to fix it. Already ran a virus scan, will prob run it in safe mode later, system restore was a no-no. Any one have any advise?
Yup, unplugged the keyboard, booted up, and it still happens.
Your keyboard is haunted. You should cleanse it with holy water from the church. You could also switch it out with another keyboard.

Sarcasm comment is very sarcastic........ As for the last line, that wouldn't help, considering the problem has nothing to do with the keyboard.

If it makes you feel better, I liked your sarcasm. xD

As for your problem Neverletthem, I cant think of anything but the windows key fucking up. Try a replacement keyboard?

When you go to Start, Run and then type msconfig, what do you have listed under the startup tab? A program that auto-starts may be sending a global hotkey of some sort.

Alright, after tinkering with the computer i found it's problem. Anyone want to take a guess as to what it was, (it wasn't the keyboard)?

It was the mouse. I swapped the wireless Microsoft mouse with just a USB mouse lying around, and the thing stopped doing what it was doing. This is why I enjoy the USB mouse on my computer, and not a wireless. Always have had trouble with them
