Steam Christmas Sale Veterans

Hello! I'm new to the PC gaming world, but im well aware of Steams ridiculous sales come Christmas time. For all you veterans of the the steam sales, how often does the most recent CoD games go on sale?

ATM, I'm debating on either picking up SS3:BFE or COD:MW3 with my gamestop credit, but if there is a chance that COD might go on sale for dirt cheap around the sale then I can wait.

Any predictions or forecasts for other games? I know its hard to come up with anything set in stone, but you all do have the experience

I've never seen the most recent COD game go on sale, at least not for a drastically reduced price.

Actually, looking through this, MW2 went on sale last Christmas, but only for 40% off (not the 60%-90% you usually see on Steam.)
Blops went on sale this summer for 30% off.

40% isn't bad at all. It's so hard to know when to buy at this time of the year. Between Amazon running their 19 Days of Deals, etc. I'm wanting Dead Island as well which is $20 right now. Lol, I have too many damn games to play now thanks to the Turkeyday sale

MW3 wont be on sale. If it's like previous years, it'll be BLOPS on sale since it's usually one COD behind because Activision is uber lame with their games being on sale.

Damn... I hate that the Steam sale will start soon. I spent like 400 bucks on the last two Steam sales and still haven't finished half the games yet... Oh Well

I have a 77 game steam back log after only two christmas sales and only one thanksgiving sale. I've thankfully missed the summer sales or else it would be worse.

I don't usually see the newest games on sale, but you never know.

I went ahead and picked up a retail copy of MW3 since I had some Gamestop credit and a coupon. Hopefully we'll see SS3:BFE on sale for ~$20 for Christmas. There are sooo many PC games that I want to play with no time I need to finish up Skyrim and then start the Witcher.

So far though I'm loving PC gaming. It's been a more enjoyable experience for me than consoles in a long time. Glad I made the move

I'm hoping to pick up SS3 cheap too during this sale. Remember, don't buy all of your games on the first day. Every day there are daily deals, so a game you want could go even cheaper than what it's already on sale for. If a game becomes a daily deal, bite, and if not, wait until the last day to buy it.
