My order page says the key will be available 10 am CST.
got mine the other day, then read all the crappy reviews it was getting

fuck , I've been groupee'd

I got my Blackguards 2 key this morning from the GG glitch. Hm.. I guess they did refunds on everyone but me?
They will probably revoke my key because of this post now... Doh!
must've missed one when I was narcing for blue coins.

hold on a sec.

Ashot P. informed me your key should be revoked shortly

More details on the Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered re-release. Thankfully, Amazon has the price wrong.
sweet, have this on a scratched disk, will buy when bundled or super cheap

Why do only post links?

No descriptions, no titles, no nothing. I get that you're trying to help, but I can't help that this irritates the funk out of me, and it makes me wish the most fiery of diarrhea on you.
I'm gonna start linking furry porn without labeling it. Waggles will surely click on it, otherwise he wouldn't be so annoyed!

Just popping in to say hello and reminisce. And yes, still no GRID Autosport key.

Lately my tolerance for a handful of programs and software not operating properly had reached the breaking point so I erased my SSD and re-installed a fresh coat of Windows. Mmm, there isn't too much better than a clean installation of an OS. Although I strangely seem to always forget how much time it takes to get all the drivers, programs, and software tweaked back to the way I liked. After many beers and a few mild mistakes it's still worth the time for freshness.

Speaking of music players, I've used my fair share over the years. I've hated quite a few and have only enjoyed a handful or so. Does anyone remember one called Musicmatch? I remember when Yahoo! acquired them in 2004, how they completely ruined it, and later went the way of the Death Star in 2008. Thankfully I stopped using it just shortly after the acquisition. It did a great job at ripping CDs into most suitable formats during the rise of the MP3. That seems like forever ago now...

On more of a relevant topic, who's amped for some Dying Light this week?

I'm really interested to see how this turns out. I'll be surprised if it's really good, but I can see it being a solid above average game. I also wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be mediocre.

Aargh... a sudden torrent of level 0-1 scammer invite spam on steam tonight.
Nah, it's cool, they just wanna share cool images and stuff.

Last one I friended even offered to sort my account for me. All I had to do was give him my log-in info, and now he's sorting all my stuff into neat little categories.

Speaking of music and games, I'm not loving Transistor as I'd hoped to. Or even especially liking it.
I felt a little underwhelmed too. I was really looking forward to it, but something just hasn't clicked thus far. Bastion had charm, Transistor just looks pretty at the moment. I hope it gets better.

I'm about 20 minutes in and it feels really cool. Not sure how well it'll go a few more hours in, but so far I've gotten my money's worth. Really love the style.

The style isn't in doubt. It looks fantastic. I just didn't feel compelled to go back to it when I played.

Gonna give it a proper go this week and see how I get on. A fresh attempt might be a good idea. I think I went in expecting Bastion 2.0 and it's not that at all. :)

Exactly. As a short film or something I'm sure it'd be awesome. But it wants me to actually, you know, play it. And that's where it starts falling apart.

I am playing it as well and really enjoying it. It's much more challenging than Bastion was, at least to me, you really have to plan your abilities and figure out what moves go well together, some weaken mobs to set up for your larger more damaging ones. Having it be turn based allows you to plan your moves by hitting multiple enemies, doing extra backstab damage etc.

The thing that is especially tough is you can plan out all your moves and go into a fight thinking you will have no problems but if you get too much damage your abilities will overload causing you to rethink your whole strategy. I think it's great but I love turn based games.

i feel like that can be the sentiment for almost every AAA title being released this year, more console wise than pc though. except Battlefield Hardline, cuz fuck that game

So I bit on Guild Wars 2 last night before the sale ended. I'm going to play it with my wife and her brother and wanted some advice. Anyone know enough about the game to know what races/classes make the best healers? I am usually the healer of the group and want to have an idea of what to pick before jumping in.

I can't wait til Hardline comes out. Being in law enforcement I really hope they get the feel of 64 man shootouts that happen every day on the job.

Battlefield Hardline is tactical game, with asymmetrical teams (eg, police is smaller team, with better equipment) and not silly excuse for 32 vs 32 police / crook shootouts, riight?

Just email them. I gave in last week and emailed their support since I heard nothing from their reddit contact after 3 days. Just leave no room for interpretation in the email. I got my key the next day

Guild Wars 2 does away with the whole "tank/dps/healer" archetype found in most MMOs, all classes are DPS with healing capabilities. Although I think out of the bunch Guardian and Engineer have more "buff" abilities that you can use to support your allies. Read more here.

Huh, I didn't realize that, thanks for the info!

Yeah. It's not the OS install itself that takes so long. It's making all those little changes here and there so things work the way you are used to.

Still slogging away at Valdis Story after 13 hours.  It doesn't sound like much, but it feels like it - this game is way too hard for a Metroidvania, even on the easiest difficulty setting.  I probably would have abandoned it already for a more enticing title in the backlog but I'm trying a new tactic of actually attempting to finish games for a change.  Also, I'm kind of curious to see if it's worth a second runthrough once I'm done and I understand how the character builds and progressions work.  There's a lot of depth there, enough to support a pretty dedicated fanbase.  Also, I like the world, story, and basic gameplay.  So much  fuck ing trial and error, though! And surprisingly little help to be found in online resources.

So yesterday decided to buy GW2. Any CAG groups for that game?
I would group...but I'm in a holding pattern as I can't reset my account password without providing info which I don't yet have "character name" kind of hard to do that when I haven't even created a character yet....

What server are peeps going to be be on?

Shadowgate at 75% off again and Dyad at 85% off.  Looking forward to seeing these two bundled, hopefully sooner rather than later.  Rest of the weeklies are bundle fodder.

So looking at the Dying Light page, it says Laptop graphic cards aren't officially supported. Is that scare tactic bullshit, or should I be passing on this game?

Firefox updated today and has fixed the problem with Enhanced Steam. Make sure to update Firefox if you're not set up to automatically update.

So I just booted up Saints Row 2 and installed the Gentlemen Mod, but damn it still runs bad, this is one of the worst ports I have played on pc

Too much talk about video games you bastards, needs more off-topic! *ahem* anyone going to Chipotle for the "order tofo, get real meat for free next visit," promotion today?

Okay back to games, IMO The Detail is a worthwhile daily if you missed the FullLoaded bundle, and don't mind waiting for new episodes (and like the TellTale games). Pool Nation is the only other one (that I know of being good on there), but looks like it's been cheaper and bundled a bunch.

I just started playing with that mod as well and it's been running fine for the couple hours I got through so far. I've been sitting on this in the backlog for a long time (got the still unplayed 360 version when circuit city was dying) and am glad to finally get to it. It's a blast to just do all the crazy side missions.
