What is the difference between the samsung code and the nvidia code??Want: Watch Dogs 2 Samsung code only.
Have PayPal:
One is redeemable via Samsung and one is redeemable via Nvidia. The game is the same. Its just a different place to redeem. The Samsung promo tends to be running cheaper i.e. they're available on Ebay below $30 and relatively easy to find for $20-$25 if you look hard enough. What is the difference between the samsung code and the nvidia code??
It has to do with proliferation. Theres more people buying SSDs than GPUs at the moment is all. Generally, they're both hovering around the same price. I just looked on Ebay (Nvidia Watch Dogs search string) and theres less of them than Samsung Watch Dogs. As to why one would prefer one over the other, I have no idea unless he/she has been screwed over by Nvidia at some point.Yeah several on this thread for 25$. Thats kinda strange that one would run cheaper. Thats why I was asking. Ok thanks

The difference is that the Nvidia one requires you to download The GeForce Experience and you MUST have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 10. I bought one on this very board and couldn't redeem it. I went to Nividia's website and got this message:What is the difference between the samsung code and the nvidia code??
Thats new devilry then. I got the Samsung version pre-release so didnt know this. They've never required anything like that before. There's plenty of people selling them without problems and they're still redeemable via the typical input key method and I know of at least 2 personally that only have 900 series cards that got the Nvidia version. My guess is the language on that page is a scare tactic to stop resellers. But yes, the Samsung version is much less "no hassle".Not exactly.

The seller refunded my money. But the Samsung one only requires the date, the model number of the item you bought and the place you bought it from.
Edit: GeForce Experience my bad
I bought it and it required me to download the GeForce Experience. So I downloaded that. It must scan your computer first because after I tried to redeem it, it spit out that message. I've never had a problem installing Nvidia promos before but that's what it said. I tried for twenty minutes.Thats new devilry then. I got the Samsung version pre-release so didnt know this. Wow, thats crazy. Yea, Ive gotten almost every game possible from these promos since Splinter Cell Blacklist and while one of them was a hassle redeeming (Dirt Rally w/ AMD) nothing like this.I bought it and it required me to download the GeForce Experience. Yeah unless people are circumventing it somehow IDK.Wow, thats crazy. Yea, Ive gotten almost every game possible from these promos since Splinter Cell Blacklist and while one of them was a hassle redeeming (Dirt Rally w/ AMD) nothing like this.
Maybe its a manufacturer thing? These things are selling and I cant imagine half the people buying them have 1070s or better.
Since you mentioned it I've been looking around the typical places (Steamtrades, Neogaf, Guru) and no one has mentioned the equipment scan or GeForce experience requirement. I wouldnt be surprised if its manufacturer related, you should ask the seller what brand of card he bought it may be easier to figure out that way. I know that EVGA sometimes does strange shit with their redemption processes.Yeah unless people are circumventing it somehow IDK.
I would love for someone to confirm or deny this for me. I could be mistaken.
Good call. The seller refunded my money, but I just messaged him and asked him where he got the code from because now I'm curious. I'll let you know more when or if, he responds.Since you mentioned it I've been looking around the typical places (Steamtrades, Neogaf, Guru) and no one has mentioned the equipment scan or GeForce experience requirement.
