street fighter 4 fightsticks

Sorry if this might be a repost i have looked into the forum and can't find something that could answer my question, and i know there is a sf4 thread but there 1000s of post so i don't think users will see my question. Anyways back to what i need to ask. I been playing streetfighter since i was a kid and i am not a professional but i like to play and sort of a casual gamer. i am now 19 so played on and off for couple years, played sf2, bit of alpha, 3rd strike and the 4th installment of the game.. Now i bought sf4 for the ps3 and figuring out that using the ps3 controllers i really hard to do some of the dash cancel. SO i am planning to get an acrade stick. Now i came across in classifield ad where someone is sell a mayflash arcade stick comptible with the ps2, ps3, pc. Now i have looked into some review people say it ok but the professional think it garbage. The guy is selling it to me for 70 which is resonable because if i buy it off ebay it will be almost the same price with shipping and handling since i live in canada. Question is that is anyone familiar with this stick and should i get this one. I am not professional in sf4 i love fighting but if i get good i might think of going into a tournament just for fun, not like i am actually going to win LOL!. but yea should i save up some money invested in like a hori stick for around $120 - 150 which i don't mind once i get the cash or should i get 70 dollars mayflash arcade stick. Ps I don't know anything about how to mod a arcade stick( i know how to mod paintball gun) but not sticks lol. And i might plan to enter small tournaments but yea

i have a hrap ex for 360 I freakin love it.. it has a lot of weight too soo it doesn't move around... i would suggest saving for a really nice stick
im still waiting on my TE for ps3 from capcom sigh.... they have HORI real arcade pro stick 3 for ps3 which is out of stock

If you can wait another few weeks, the Mad Crapz sticks should be readily available. Either get a TE or SE(and mod it).

thanks, i think i will save up this is lol i don't know how to modd the damn stick look so hard and if i open it up i am scared if i screw up the wires 180 is down the drain lol

i recommend hrap3 (hori real arcade 3). its about 90-100. it sounds like a lot and it is. the beauty is that its good enough for an intro stick. but you can really really easily mod the buttons for an extra $30 to get all sanwa parts. or just save up for a sf4 te stick for $150 if you can find it. if you don't want to mess with anything, its awesome right out of the box. and the 150 price is pretty spot on if you were to do it yourself.

one of the main reasons why the hrap3 and te are so valued is because they're really easy to mod. there are tons of videos that you watch to judge how hard it really is.

you don't want to buy a cheap stick to realize later on that its a cheap stick. but ya0's link for $30 might be cheap enough investment that you can afford to lose if decide using a stick isn't worth it.
