Student Seven takes place in a world where classical rules of “honor” have survived. Guns do not exist, and swordsmanship is a common skill. An individual is required by law to defend their honor, and does so via an honor duel. In this world, clubs will appoint an “Enforcer”, who would defend the club’s honor if insulted.
At Kurosawa University, students must be a part of a Student Group and create a product in order to graduate. To prepare students for the honor-driven world outside, and to hone their martial arts skills, Student Groups are required to compete in a martial arts tournament in order to obtain resources from the University. Shane and Ryan create “Gamer’s Brigade” in order to fulfill their passion for creating an online game, and to fulfill their graduation requirement. Shane will be the group’s leader, and Ryan the group’s enforcer. Their first recruit, Kyle, is a freshman and can’t wait to get started.
Once creating a group, they discover that they only have three months to make a first draft of their game. Determined, they decide to go off campus to look for more members. Throughout the semester they have to deal with other groups, as well as an oppressive schoolboard in order to survive. Can the seven members of Gamer’s Brigade succeed in making their game on time, while overcoming personal struggles amongst and within themselves?
