Student-teacher sex ruled OK!

Yeah this is a good call. On top of that there isn't a whole lot of 18 year olds in high school. Don't most people graduate at 17? Unless their bdays are after june

No, I think it's the other way around. You have to be 5 to start kindergarten, so people are 5 when they start and will be 6 before they finish Kindergarten unless they're birthday is after June.

Carry the ages through and most will be 18 when they graduate high school, except for those who had birthdays after June and before school starts who had just turned 5 in the month or two before starting kindergarten.

My birthday is in November, so I turned 6 a couple of months into kindergarten, and turned 18 early into my senior year of high school in 1997.

My teacher actually ended up marrying one of his former student (my classmate). Although that was at least 4 years after she graduated. We all thought it was strange how she spent so much time around after graduating.

ah yeah I knew it was something like that. I just had it backwards XD
Well of course not, they're both adults. Although it is incredibly unprofessional to be fucking one of your students.
No it's not.

Ummm now.... most are 18 unless they are really young. When I was born the cut out was the end of September, it's now January. I'm 45 weeks older than a friend of mine, but we were still in the same grade. He was only one of about 20 students not to be 18 when we graduated, my class had 180ish people.

I think it's wrong for a teacher to legally have sex with a student because they he or she plays favorites, however he didn't break any police laws, just school rules.

^Well, I just read earlier that the cut-off date is different in every state. So, it definitely depends on that. But the majority seems to be Sep 1- Jan 1. So, you would have to be 5 before Sep 1-Jan 1 to enter kindergarten. Add 12 years to 5 = 17 years.
So, it definitely depends on your bday. But if you were born before cut-off date it's likely you would be 17 at graudation time.

edit: wait, no. You would have to be born before cut-off but after June, I mean. So it's a mixed bag.

I agree. Conservative Americans get HYPE over sex, that's why.

Fixed.

Go to most other civilized democracies and many have enough sense to not want to control every aspect of your love life. Might have something to do with understanding that there are bigger issues in the world that need to be dealt with over where your dick goes.

as long as shes over 18 AND hes not one of her teachers i think its fine. if he is her teacher i think that raises issues, not legally, but in terms of his employment.
Add 13 years. It's K-12, not 1-12.
Well we know someone who should have been forced to stay in high school until at least 18!

^lol No, because, you only have to add 12 years. Because you will be 5 until you grad Kindergarten if your bday is after June. Like I said..If your bday is after June you will be 5 til after K then you will be 6 for Grade 1. 7 for grade 2, etc. 17 when you graduate senior year. So, it's 5 (your age throughout K) + 12 (the 12 years AFTER kindergarten...I'm not going to add 13 in addition to Kindergarten) IF you're bday is after june...
So, now I know 2 people who should have stayed in high school 'til 18 XD

What you're saying is correct. I would know since I fall into the category of people who graduated at 17. I turned 5 in September right after starting kindergarten. (the deadline was January back then, but now it's September 1st in my state, so I would have missed the deadline by a few days if it had been instated earlier)

So basically anyone whose birthday is between June and September would be 17 when they graduate if they start kindergarten at 5. So roughly 1/4 of the people.

Wow! Adults can have sex now! I never would have guessed!

Seriously, who cares. They're both legal, it doesn't matter.

Also, don't forget, the age of consent in some states is 17. (Like Illinois)

In PA it varies by district and you had to be 5 by Feburary of the next year (so if school started in September, you had to be 5 by that upcoming Feburary), now it is October 1st, crazy how in my grade there was a kid born in January 1981 and another born in January 1983, I graduated at 17 and was even 17 for part of college.
