(cross-posted from my blog entry, apologies in advance - just wanted to catch any interested parties who might not check the blogs)
Hola CAGs,
With some recent free time, I was making good progress on my backlog (finished Bioshock, Saboteur, Enslaved), but put that on hold for a while to learn some GarageBand and Final Cut.. Here is yet another drop in the ocean of YouTube "Mario theme on " videos, but I think it turned out pretty well, and is a little more unusual than most.

The upper voices are played on the 2-drum "double seconds" steel pans (essentially the Alto voice in SATB terms), and the bass line is on 3-drum "triple guitar" pans (the Tenor voice). The other pan voices in a steel band are 1-drum "lead" (Soprano) and 6-drum "bass" pans, but unfortunately I don't have either of those in my garage.
Now that I've got the process down, I plan to knock out a few more game tunes. SMB water theme should sound good, and the Monkey Island theme is in the works.
Any requests/ideas for other game music that might work on steel pans?
