Super Mario RPG on Retro Duo

Has anyone had any luck figuring out a way to get Super Mario RPG work on a Retro Duo system? I'm looking for a relatively simple way to make it work as I'm not able to do any soldering. The only reasonable one I saw involved putting magnetic tape on one of the gold connectors of the cartridge. Anyone have any workarounds?

It's been determined that there are a few revisions of the game itself. Somework, some do not work. The ONLY option is to find a version that works on the system.

Buy a Wii?

I mean, the Virtual Console doesn't get the love it should but if your tastes run towards the games where cartridge versions of games cost a great deal of money, the Wii could potentially pay for itself.

That's a good point Halo05, but IMO it's not the same. I enjoy having the original cartridge. I don't pay much for the games anyways. I'm always the lookout for a great deal. I picked up Mario RPG in great condition for around $20.

But then you have the burden of shame on you for being a Wii owner. I can't find anyone who wants to buy mine and take that burden from em :/

I think the only 2 ways to tell are either to open the cartridge and look for a revision stamp, or try them on your RD and find one that works.
