Stopped at the local Goodwill on the way home last night.
Looking for any Target clearance games.

Nothing in the case, except as I am starting to leave, the old guy manager is coming my way with a bin. Inside are two Ipod boxes. He puts both in the case.

Before I can ask, another employee asks for one. I immediately ask for the other.
Without even looking at price. I opened the box to see if everything is there and it was.

I scored a 20 Gig Ipod Color for $49.99. :D
Some wear, and it looks like a Target return.
I was a little mad, as the other was a 60 gig for $75.
But can't complain as I got 20 gig for the cost of a 1 Gig SD card.

Wow, very very nice.

You'd think these thrift stores would get a clue and sell really desirable stuff like this on eBay to maximize the money they generate for the good things they do. I mean I can see a GW worker not knowing some rare old video game is valuable, but everyone knows iPods go for nice money.

One of my local thrift stores actually does that, but I still find really nice deals there every so often.
So why didn't you get the other one?
I'm gonna assume the employee working got first dibs, and I'm sure that they picked the bigger one.

Now that deserves a find of the year award!:applause: I guess this one more reason I should check my local thrift stores.

my local thrift stores are really smart everytime i check everything is way over priced. dreamcast controllers 12 a piece, sega genesis games at 10 a piece. bs/

The employee snagged the 60gig before I could.
I got sloppy seconds.

I love Goodwill. I may have had a better deal . . . last year I saw this Mario bobble heads (Target bonus) and they were getting messed up by kids. So, I bought 16 of the for $2 each. I traded one here on CAG for a cheap game and then hooked with two separate Japanese buyers on ebay making something over $300 in sellling 12 of them.

I recently got a nice Haggar shirt and Ralph Lauren Pants for $1.50 each.

The trick is that you have to go often to really see the good stuff.

Today I got a SNES ascii pad (with turbo functions) as new in box for $1.99.

And a Neverwinter Nights Versus Books strategy guide for $0.80. FOR TRADE

Yeah, but every time I leave the place I feel like I need an acid bath.

Mine is very clean. That's why I shop more there than Value Village which is a sty.
